Story Behind The Song
This story relates to my feelings after I split with a very special girl after our very long relationship. The song came from the intro riff and was jamming with a bass player at the time (1995 was the year) . The lyrics have never been changed as I took them off the live recording when re-doing the song a few hours later. I sang it from the soul.
Song Description
This song is a description of a confused mind when splitting with a girlfriend and not feeling sure about the reason for the split. The torment of the mind can be a terrible thing and thoughts after such a big life change are not always logical to say the least. Thinking there may be a chance to get back together and then thinking you would like to never see that person again in the next instant thought. A confused and sad state of mind. A curious and threatened mind always wondering if there is more to know than you do already and thinking back to words that were said in the past. Thinking how good it would be to get back together, but realising you are the ticket to the freedom of the X partner.
