In the beginning reminiscing about the past when college and his/her long distant love life was tough to juggle. However, the summers together at his/her parent's house were enjoyable but they were sad when they ended and the only way to keep in contact was by long distance phonecall.
The singer then had to drop out of college due to problems with his/her father which made life even more complicated.
The singer wishes how he/she could now be back in those special summers with their special love. Although, the years have now passed and his/her love has now moved on.
