It's Your Attitude (Leslie Christensen)

Song Description

Alexa was fed up with trying to deal with her narcissistic, pessimistic partner. Every time her partner would start something that didn't turn out right, they'd blame someone else. At the same time, when things went well, they'd always find a way to take the credit. What made matters worse was that Alexa soon learned that this person always found the negative in everything... and seemed to thrive on the drama. That's when Alexa pointed out to her partner, "It's not life that is bad... It's Your Attitude!"

Lyrics

It's Your Attitude
Words/music Frank Pietrantoni

Yeah you were mamma's spoiled brat;
Never to blame and always right.
Cried to me your glass was half empty and never half full.
I was just your girl but never your mate.
Bein' in your world was never that great.
You thought this was meant to be,
But you said you should be free.
You're hot when you're cold.
You don't want to know
The truth when you've asked to be told.

Don't get caught in the rain and complain
That your grass aint green enough yet.
Don't cast blame when you've entered a game
And you lost it in a single bet.

Yeah you are just average at best;
Comin' in second to last from the rest.
Playin' in a league where you know you'll never compete.
You can't stand the heat, but you hide in the kitchen.
Afraid to taste defeat; you'll never know what you're missin'
Ya said our lives were meant to be,
Then you turned your back on me
You're hot and you're cold.
And ya don't want to know
The truth when you've asked to be told.

Don't get caught in the rain and complain
That your grass aint green enough yet.
Don't cast blame when you've entered a game
And you lost it in a single bet.
Don't get caught in the rain and complain
That you just aren't cool enough yet.
Don't take a vow and ask her how
You can walk away with all you can get.

I can see you'll never be happy again.
I can see you'll always be lonely my friend.
I can see you'll never be happy again
Without me.

I really liked the subject of the song, that guitar riff speaks volumes. The vocal is uique and crisp. Over all I enjoyed the song.

Very original sound. It reminds me of the 80's. I like the riffs.
