SAVE MYSELF

Story Behind The Song

My brother wrote most of this before he passed away and I took it and wrote the chorus and music. This song has special meaning since it's a song I wrote with him after he passed.

Song Description

The singer is angry at the circumstances of his life and instead of turning to religion, which has never worked for him in the past, he decides to do it himself and 'save' himself.

Song Length 3:44 Genre Blues - Rock, Blues - Modern

Lyrics

SAVE MYSELF
By J. Davis & E. Davis

VERSE
Yeah Things are not alright
And i can't pretend
Everything's a losing fight
A fight I cannot win
I hoped it'd be all over
I want to start again
I've wasted all my life
And I'm covered in sin

CHORUS
I'd rather save myself
I'd rather save myself
I'd rather save myself
I'd rather save myself

VERSE
I Can't keep faking it
Hiding from the pain
I can't keep taking it
I wanna raise some cain
I'm just forsaking it
never gonna win
I waited all my life
And I'm covered in sin

CHORUS
I'd rather save myself
I'd rather save myself
I'd rather save myself
I'd rather save myself
