Move Over Baby

Story Behind The Song

Memories of taking a girl to a mountain top in a city where I was the new guy in town. She showed me this place. It was the local make-out spot. A million stars all shining. Very romantic.

Lyrics

MOVE OVER BABY

I've got some money in my pocket and I sure feel good tonight
We'll take a rocket to the moon or to Mars or wherever you like
Take a ride with me
And we'll see what we can see
So Move Over Baby I'm driving it's Saturday night

You love to complain that I never take you nowhere
Always saying that I never have a dollar to spare
And I know that's true
But I've got sweet love for you
So Move Over Baby I'm driving it's Saturday night

(BRIDGE)
We'll go down, we'll go to town and we'll have us a ball
As we take the world by surprise
I love you, you love me
You can tell by the look in our eyes

INSTRUMENTAL
BRIDGE

I've got some money in my pocket and I sure feel great tonight
We'll take a rocket to the moon or the stars or wherever you like
Take a ride with me
And we'll see what we can see
So Move Over Baby I'm driving it's Saturday night
Said Move Over Baby I'm driving it's Saturday night
I Said Move Over Baby I'm driving cuz it's Saturday night

Interesting makes me think of Buddy Holly. You never hear old school rock n roll any more. A refreshing change even compared to my material.

This has an English 60's Folk Sound, very catchy! Something that could work in an English film from that time period! Actually sounds like some famous group from that era...well done!! It's certainly different, but sounds fun!! I know......a tune from The Benny Hill Show from England! This might have a solid chance to be placed in a film!

This is open, optimistic, authentic country/folk/rock n roll and I love that. Vocally I'm hearing this great blend of Cat Stevens meets alt country. I love that I'm hearing straight forward, all american music here. I appreciate the text very much, as it balances with the feel of the music. Its seemingly simple text, but its far from it. The lyrics combined with the voice show real promise and I would definitely like to hear more.

Cool tune with a good riff. Has a bouncy feel to it, almost like a song you might hear in an Irish Pub. Cool instrumentation and a good arrangement.
