Lyrics

DON'T BE AFRAID TO TRY AGAIN

You know, they say "Once bitten the second time shy"
Once you have lost at love you promise never again to try
You're smitten with loneliness and tears
Bad dreams of losing again fill your silent fears

Will it hurt the way that it hurt before?
Will it keep on coming back for more?
Will you play the fool as you play to win, only to lose again?

Oh I'm telling you
Don't Be Afraid To Try Again
Oh no
Never be afraid to try again.

Life's heartaches are hard to understand
We watch, as the dreams of our youth slip right through our hands.
We start, chasing, soon to fall behind
As those old fears from the past go racing through our minds

Will it hurt the way that it hurt before?
Will it keep on coming back for more?
Will you play the fool as you play to win, only to lose again?

Oh I'm telling you
Don't Be Afraid To Try Again
Oh no
Never be afraid to try again.

(INSTRUMENTAL)

Oh I'm telling you
Don't Be Afraid To Try Again
Oh no
Never be afraid to try again, and again, and again no

Maybe this one would love you like never before
Maybe that one would beg you to come back for more
If you play it cool as you play to win
You'll never lose again
That's why I'm telling you

Don't Be Afraid To Try Again
Oh no
Don't you be afraid to try again

I really like the introduction and I think the singer's strength is when he talks the song out. I think the recording sounds good and I love the bass guitar runs and I also like the sound of the keyboards and the saxophone, great lyrics. Great sounding jazz, for sure!

like the way you have the bass sounding. I thought I reviewed this already

Good strong vocals, well produced, nice sax solo, excellent tight drum and bass, song drives along well, good ending, good lyrics, very professional sounding track.
