Story Behind The Song
This song came about quickly and humorously. It was written in one evening. I've been pregnant before, but never saw the "fruits of my labor." It was a miserable experience, to say the least. Although my opinion of having children has changed many times in my life, at the time I wrote this song, I was deadset against procreating. I worried that I would be a bad mother, a bad influence, a bad role model. To subvert the fear, I attempted to express these concerns using a cynical and somewhat humurous approach in this song.
Song Description
A young woman's reasons for not wanting children are outlined clearly, logically, at times cruelly and with a vindictive lien towards those that "created" her. She also has a secret, that she whispers in Spanish. Can you hear it?

Lyrics
Baby don?t knock me up
In my opinion our parents already have enough grandchildren, hon
Besides who really needs to buy more stuff for Christmas?
You know where I come from
Do you really want me to pass on that blood?
Another cutter, another drunk, another manipulative cunt
Baby, don?t knock me up
Chorus:
I?m going to bleed forever
I?m going to bleed to death
Baby don?t knock me up
Nobody asked me if I?d rather have a kid or a good fuck
I?ll take the latter, I?ll take the mad hatter any day over tweedle dum
I might be cruel, I might be lazy
But I?m not stupid or even crazy
No baby, I don?t want your baby now
Repeat chorus
Bridge:
Y no quiero estar, no quiero estar tu senora (x4)
(Backup vocals: Ya da da di, di di, di di di da?. (x4)
(hidden backup lyrics:
Sangre' entre mis piernas, ensangrentado
Yo quiero matar el nacimiento
Tengo un aborto en mi alma
La nina no viva aqui aun)
Baby don?t knock me up
Before that kid could walk it would see me and it?d want to run
I can?t talk to anything that has opposable thumbs
Why don?t you get me a dog?
Baby don?t knock me up
You?d get all the pleasure and I?d do the hard work, ?cuz
Equality is never up to snuff
So baby don?t you knock me up
Repeat chorus twice:
Bridge 2:
Ya da da di, di di, di di di da?. (x4)
(Backup vocals: Y no quiero estar, no quiero estar tu senora (x4)
