Story Behind The Song
A cousin of mine had died in a tragic car accident when he was only 19 years old, leaving behind many family members. This song was written as I was flying to the funeral. I wanted to reflect a feeling of hope in the midst of such a sad time.
Song Description
Upbeat acoustic guitar song with unique style that compares to a cross between Sarah McLachlan, Dave Matthews and Jewel. The message is that although someone has died, they are still with you in your heart. Although a sad subject, it is an uplifting, positive feeling song.

Lyrics
Before it blooms, a flower dies
Who knows what beauty?s left inside.
Still so small, but on the oustide,
We see the marks, the scars of life.
And the young die free,
But they will always be,
The sparkle in your eyes
The giggle in your laugh
They?re the innocence of our lives? past
And in our hearts they will always last.
So take them away
Where they sit warm in the sun
Take them away
To a place where they belong, where they belong
A shooting star, still brightly shines
Even though not given much time.
They may be gone, but they are still alive
In the glow that lives inside.
And the young die free,
But they will always be,
The sparkle in your eyes
The giggle in your laugh
They?re the innocence of our lives? past
And in our hearts they will always last.
So take them away
Where they sit warm in the sun
Take them away
To a place where they belong?.
Take them away
Where they sit warm in the sun
Take them away
To a place where they belong, where they belong
