Story Behind The Song
This song was borne out of the longing that we all seem to have to go back to a simpler time when we felt more connected to those we love. Mayberry has always been one of those idyllic places where life seemed to make sense and the world was a friendly and happy place. I only wish I could feel more "Mayberry" more often.
Song Description
We run at such a busy and crazy pace. This song describes one of those welcomed moments of peace and connectedness that happen so infrequently. It is like a pleasant trip down memory lane with the one you love by your side.

Lyrics
Feeling kind of Mayberry
Writers: Dennis and Wendy Kurttila
You and me and this front porch swing
A summer night beneath the moon and stars
This feeling's like the sweetest dream
Set to music by my beat up old guitar
A breeze is drifting through my memory
As the night becomes a symphony of sound
Recalling all the times we've sat right here
With the crickets and the fireflies all around
CHORUS:
Yea, I'm feeling kind of Mayberry tonight
In the gentle glow of that dusty old porch light
I've got you here beside me
And everything feels good and right
Yea, I'm feeling kind of Mayberry tonight
Feels like we're always running double-time
In this crazy, Busy, mixed-up human race
But, a night like this can help me to rewind
Back to a day when most of life was lived out face-to-face
Yea, a simpler time and place
CHORUS:
BRIDGE:
The world has changed so much since way back then
But, if I close my eyes right here with you it takes me back again
CHORUS:
And I'm feeling kind of Mayberry tonight
In the gentle glow of that dusty old porch light
I've got you here beside me
And everything feels good and right
That's why, I'm feeling kind of Mayberry,
I'm wishing this was how the world could always be
Yea, tomorrow we will wake up to reality
But, I'm feeling kind of Mayberry tonight
