Lyrics

Well the moon is on its way and I wait patiently
For the sun to disappear in the west
Been riding all day long
Tonight this fire keeps me warm
As I lay down my body to rest

We have crossed the raging rivers and
Made it thru the floods
And the challenges that came our way
And the mountains thru the plains
Was dancing in our blood
And they never could take that away

Thinking about my home town
When I was lost I'D bound
Into your arms I found
Where I belong

SiIver shadows stretching out across the pines
As our journey finally comes to an end
I will bring some melodies with me when I go
And the harmonies inside my head
Thinking about my home town
When I was lost I'D bound
Into your heart I found
Where I belong
Thinking about my home town
When I was lost I'D bound
Into your love I found
Where I belong

Sounds like a cowboy song to me! Songwriter takes on a journey across the mountains, pines etc., which comes full circle back to "my home town" where his love waits. There are some good word pictures here. One of the strengths of this song is the choice of words "silver shadows" "dancing in my blood". Nice dobro solo.
