Broadjam Member Reviews

Tim, this is a good song and production I'm glad to hear here on BJ for the pro reviewing. Trust me, I'm now getting hooked on your 90 proof of song material which is more 120 proof good grain. I just was informed that broadcasting may be for shorter song minutes in the future but in film that isn't an issue. I think making a short version and the long version is a marketing ploy too. In closing, this year's group of songs I've reviewed has given me great hope that you will reach any level your team wishes to achieve in the professional songwriting business. I look forward to hearing and reviewing many more that you may submit through the BJ's pro reviewing with my perspective. God bless you and those you've been working with all this time. Good job and again I Thank You!

90 Proof (featuring Bryan Harkness)
© Tim Sharp: Lyrics 2020
Bryan Harkness: Music/ Vocals

Verse 1
I walked in with a bottle of whiskey
Somehow you married me anyway
I see now you wanted to fix me
No matter what your friends might say
But too many nights, it seems they were right,
I was lost in some bar looking to fight
All these demons that won't let me be
And killing the love you once had for me

Now I'm walking through the ashes of the bridges that I've burned
12 steps away from the lessons I should have learned
I know when I fall I'll land on the truth
That love can't live long when you're runnin' on 90 proof

Verse 2
I walked out with a bottle of whiskey
And the wedding ring you used to wear
Sad signs from my troubled history
Back from a time when you dared to care.

Repeat Chorus

Sometimes she whispers sweet things in my ear
She always knows what I need to hear
She is my lover, she's my devil, she's my boo
I couldn't leave her.......not even for you

Alternate Chorus
Now I'm hiding in the shadows the of bridges I'm gonna burn
Just 12 steps away from the lessons I gotta learn
Whenever I fall, I'll always land right on the truth
I'm sorry that you're gone, but I been runnin' too long with 90 proof

Runnin' too long on 90 proof
