Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song because I was... happy. Being a chiptune aficionado, I had been bitten by the chiptune bug and could not help writing a song in the genre about how happy I was at the time. Hats off in the direction of demoscene musicians such as 4-Mat, Hunz and Aahz.
Song Description
Catchy, straight ahead structured chiptune in the tradition of electronic music originals such as 4-Mat, carrying on from the video game sounds of the 80's that were so popular with kids and young adults. Structured as a traditional poprock song with the verse-chorus approach, and with simple catchy progressions and melodies, Happy is a song written about being... happy.
