Story Behind The Song

"Goin' Home" was written twenty years ago as an anthem dedicated to Desert Storm troops. Ironically, twenty years later, the song is relevant again, and it's now a new Rhythm Authors game for Rock Band! KickBend (featuring drummer-percussionist Glen Kosche and guest vocalist "Lu") created an updated version of "Goin' Home" nearly one year ago with sound engineers Erik Widman and Danny Karabaic. KickBend incorporated a military snare drum breakdown, a soaring guitar solo, and classic rock riffs to complement the arena rock imagery of the game.
