Broadjam Member Reviews

As a big They Might Be Giants fan, that was the first impression I got. TMBG-esque. An original mind with an original approach, maybe "niche" but an interesting niche. The song's harmonies are certainly more interesting than a lot of stuff I have heard so far from "pop" groups. Good thing the song doesn't go on too long, something TMBG know as well!

Wow this is SO commercial and different - reminds me of the likes of the British band from the 80's Squeeze. Love the vocal performance and lyrical content.

Lyrics

Cherry-trees' Splendour
Cherry-trees' Charm
Summer Is Back Again
Isn't It A Shame
That It's Filled With
False Alarms

Sirens Singing
In The Chambers Of The Sea
Through Seaweed Swimming
Gleefully
Now You Can
Frown And Drown

You'd Better Tie
Yourself Tight
Or Turn Off The Light
Till They're Out Of Sight

And It Makes No Difference
If You Close Your Eyes Or Stare
Now We Have No More Dreams
Just A Constant Nightmare

The Man With The Tie Says
That All Is Gonna End Well
You Say
That All Is Gonna End Well
When He'll End At The End Of A Well
Oh Well

Cannibal Zombies Come Out Of The Television
Journalists Paid To Say Somebody Else's Opinion
Politic's Whores Justifying Wars

Tv Size Girls They Smile At Will
Although They Don't Feel Any Thrill
Oh But You Seem So Pleased To Be Teased

She Likes To Touch
But She Has No Tact
She Uses Her Tongue
And That's A Fact
But It's Such A Waste
'Cos She Has No Taste

And It Makes No Difference
If You Close Your Eyes Or Stare
Now We Have No More Dreams
Just A Constant Nightmare
