Scott Russell is a very creative man whose world is music. It consumes him, as does any form of art with its artist. The music he writes is full-bodied like a great wine. Once you have that first taste of his melodies you savor them and can't wait to experience it again. There are no skimpy sounds in his music. It's full and bright. His instrumentals tell a story without saying a word. His harmonies and song structure tell of a man who is educated in his craft.

Seven year olds to octogenarians have been seen tapping their feet and swaying to his upbeat melodies at performances. You find yourself whistling his tunes long after they have ended. His vibrant music draws people in from the street much like the Pied Piper, tempting them like their carb-restricted diets.

Scott writes in all genres with an emphasis in Jazz. For more info, a copy of his music demo's or a DVD with performance highlights contact:

Biography

Scott Russell is a very creative man whose world is music. It consumes him, as does any form of art with its artist. The music he writes is full-bodied like a great wine. Once you have that first taste of his melodies you savor them and can't wait to experience them again.

A musician's musician, Scott has the ability to write and perform great music in many genres. Here are some comments from Taxi:

" Yeah Scott! You are definitely a pros pro and it will be a pleasure to forward all three of your selections. It's always nice to here good composing matched with equally good playing and recording. This listing is looking for material primarily in the mid-tempo area as well as sounding live as possible and in my opinion you really nailed it down here. They are also requiring broadcast fidelity and this recording sounds like it is at that bar level."

" Scott - All three of these pieces are tasty, beautifully recorded and played with a high degree of skill and feel. The country-ish, Bruce Hornsby element on A Hero's Song was easy on the ear and the writing developed nicely throughout the piece, without immediately jumping into solos. You clearly know your production/engineering and how to set up a mix with every component easy to hear, feel and follow. These pieces were reminiscent of several classy acts, including Bob James & Bruce Hornsby."

"This is an absolutely first rate presentation. All three tunes are excellent, the sound of the group is consistent and wonderful and, of course, your playing is faultless. One important factor that you nail and that many overlook is that there's a distinctive sound that carries all through all 3 tracks, immediately establishing a strong artist identity, a big plus with record companies. The material is very well crafted and, again, there is an identifiable style that's present in every tune. I can't think of anything substantial to say that would help improve upon what you are doing. You're doing your thing on a consummate level and you deserve a record deal."

"It is such a pleasure to screen your fine work. I don't really have any advice to offer you as far as critiquing this, except to encourage you to keep on doing what you're doing; it certainly works for me, and in my opinion, should be viable commercially."

"This is a really impressive track; beautifully composed and arranged, and performed & produced in first-rate manner. Keep up the good work & all best to you."
