We are pleased to announce that Notable Works has received a grant from the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts (RISCA) in support of our upcoming publication "Voices of the Earth: The Future of Our Planet III." The theme of this new book is "Awakening a Resolve for Re-Discovery, Resolution, Adaption and Growth: A Call for Continued Action," as it pertains to the natural environment. The submission period for this publication is from January 1, 2023 to February 15, 2023 at midnight and the "Call for Poetry Flier" as well as the "Guidelines for Poetry Submissions" can be downloaded by visiting www.NotableWorks.org.

Bio

Noreen Inglesi, whose biograpghy has been published in Who's Who in America, is a public school music teacher in the State of Rhode Island, where she was nominated for Teacher of the Year in 2003 and 2008. She has also taught music at the college level. Noreen received her Master's Degree in Music Education and Composition at the University of Rhode Island, where she was a composition student of Dr. Geoffrey Gibbs. During her studies there, she was awarded a Graduate Assistantship, voted All American Scholar and earned membership into the Phi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society and the Golden Key National Honor Society. Currently, she is artist in residence for Notable Works Publication and Distribution Co., Inc.- a non profit organization whose mission is to raise awareness for environmental and social issues through the Arts while providing a venue and increased exposure for local composers and poets. Noreen has received many awards for her music and poetry, which has been published in many anthologies. Her orchestral and chamber works have been performed both nationally and internationally. Some of her commissions include the Insight Quartet in Italy, the Culver Chamber Music Series in Los Angeles, CA, the Nature Conservancy, the Colonial Theatre in Westerly, RI, the South County Habitat for the Humanity and the Providence Permanent Firefighter's Association. During the spring of 2004, her Duet for Flute and Harp was recorded and released on a compact disc with the Contemporary Record Society. Noreen was awarded two grants by the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts to create original music and poetry dealing with environmental issues. Three of Noreen's original works are inluded on Notable Work's newly released compilation CD "Working In Harmony For Home and Hearth."
