The Method is a solo-project of Martijn Stienstra.
In 1992 he started recording demo’s on 4-track cassettes. In October 1999 his demo CD 12 versions of the truth was chosen ‘Demo of the Month’ by FRET Magazine.

A few months later the band 18 Rabbit was founded. They released three independent CDs. The most important achievements in 2001 were the selection for FRET’s Demontage CD #4 and reaching the finals in the Radio 3-contest “Popslag” with the song “It’s Over”. The band was dissolved in 2003.

In 2004 Martijn recorded the mini-album: "More you, Less me" with session musicians Arie Spaans, Bram Buschman, Arto Boyadjian en Wiboud Burkens.
The mix & mastering are done by American engineers Robert Wawoe (Florida) and David Torrey (New Hampshire)

The song “Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself” from this album received quite a bit of airplay on local radio stations Stadsradio Den Haag and Radio West.
Many tracks were also chosen ‘Track of the Day’ on Garageband.com

Review "More You, Less Me"

Songwriter Martijn Stienstra from The Hague is imperturbable and keeps producing solid songs with great ease. In that regard he is the dream of every publisher. In that same dream the songs of his band "The Method" can be found weekly in Billboard under the Adult Orientated Rock section. If a song such as "It's Over" is played on (let's say) KinkFM nobody would notice that this is in fact a Dutch band. I am curious how the material on More You less me sounds in the hands of other performers.

Where should all this lead to?
Hopefully a publisher will recognise the potential of these songs. They could be used in advertisements, soundtracks or by other bands in search of material.
