I played drums & sang professionally over 20 years, ranging from Rock to Country to Funk/R&B. My music has been featured on FOX TV (Call Me Kat, 2021), as well as on various CD compilations and International podcasts in the UK, USA, Europe, mainland Asia and Australia. My songs concentrate on melody, harmonies & unexpected chord and timing changes to keep them unique. Vocally, I've been compared at times to David Crosby, John Mayer, Todd Rundgren, Lionel Richie, Charlie Puth and George Strait, reflecting my versatile influences and history. Still a proud Classic Rocker at heart, I own 100% administrative control and decision-making on all tracks and masters, including instrumental versions and edits. All songs recorded at Grammy & Dove Award winning GAT3 Studios in Charlotte NC, with the assistance of world-class studio players and engineers.

Thanks, as always, Bob for another well-thought out and constructive review of "Song of the People". As you now know, my mixing philosophy is certainly non-standard, as is our skip-the-hook philosophy. Haha :) So I understand your comments with regard to both. That said, this particular mix from last Fall was selected for several sync/placement opps on first glance elsewhere before it landed in an exclusive publishing deal on its only submission here a few weeks ago.

I tend to look at songs as living things that are never really "finished"... and I actually agree with a drier, more up-front vocal approach. But I don't think it would have stood a chance to have been picked up mixed that way. A weird business we are in. :)

Always nice to hear from you!
