Simply stated, Local Produce was born because a body needed healing. Life's stressors had catalyzed a disease process leading to physical pain in one, and life's road had equipped the other with a desire to heal and tools for healing. On the surface, it's as simple as that. Greg was questioning his lifelong pursuit of music in the wake of the breakup of his long time band, Rubber Planet. He was feeling lost and wondering if his pursuit of music was worth the cost. Kelly's commitment to medicine had left music on the back burner for so long that she was starting to wonder if the music was still alive inside her. Both were restless and life-weary. And that's where it started. Out of desperation to try one last time, they threw the chips up, and when the chips began to fall, they began falling in all the right places. It's about each one having what the other doesn't and each one having what the other needs. It's about being better together than they are alone. It's about chasing the fire and finding the melodies again. They are becoming more of what they were meant to be. They are becoming the music of Local Produce.
