Faye Davis has been writing and recording music for over 10 years. She sings, plays piano and keys, programs drum loops and taps out live percussion. Faye likes the "velvet hammer" metaphor for her music ... it's powerful in its gentle femininity.
Though A&R folk hate to hear this, Faye's music straddles a few categories at different times. Generally, the best description is Indie Pop, but Dream Pop and Indie Folk sound right, too. She aims to remind us of how successfully the singer/songwriters of the 70's genre-hopped, yet still remained distinct.
I've got a new 5-song E.P. titled "Observation Station"! Lots of top tens here - Dream Pop, Alt Pop, and Listeners Aged 37-50 ... thanks for the good ratings!
