I really dog your tunes Mitch! Wishing you all the success!! Bill Hunter
* dig. lol
Sorry it took this long to thank you of your kind review of Hypershift. When I started writing this Ozzy's Bark at the Moon with Jake E. Lee was front and center. You nailed it! Once the feel was in place it took off from there. I enjoy that era and this piece gave me the opportunity to give a strong nod to Jake , YM and GLynch. Best wishes for your success!
Awesome - I need to listen to that tune again, I remember enjoying it quite a bit! Best to you! Bill Hunter, Common Ground
Many thanks for your kind review.
Not a problem! Good tune! Bill Hunter, Common Ground
Hi "Common Ground", well it looks like we have a little common ground of our own.... Thanks so much for the numbers and thoughtful review of my song "Moroccan Star". The song didn't turn out to be what I thought it would be either. The song doesn't have a traditional form, it's more of an anthem style that keeps building, like many of my jams. Thanks again for the great feedback, I may consider adding vocal, even if to mimic a theme or melody.
Good tune Dave! I like the fact that I was surprised - great build to it! Bill Hunter, Common Ground
I listened to 'Drop of Hope' I really enjoyed it. Great sound and very strong vocals. Good luck with it.David
Thanks David!!
Bill, I really like your song restless. I adapted a poem of mine to your music and I think it fits good. I renamed the poem Restless Time. If you're interested let me know and I can send them to you and also put a vocal line on your song to show you how the words fit. I'm not a singer but it will give you the idea. I might be able to get my wife to sing it on for me which would be much better. Let me know. Rusty (Signal 30)
Rusty - sure! Would love to hear it! Thanks! Bill
Hey Bill, Thanks for the 5 stars 1st Indication and encouraging words! Really appreciate it!
Not a problem! Good luck to you - it's certainly marketable! Bill Hunter
Thanks for the 5 stars on From The Heart!! Much appreciated!!
Not a problem - good track and well-done recording! -- Bill Hunter
The nice thing about Broadjam's peer review program is being able to listen to new bands and experience great new sounds like yours. I'm liking what I am hearing guys!
Thanks Sean! Really do appreciate the feedback. You're exactly right about the peer feature here with Broadjam - I've been able to hear some of the most awesome music from some great artists! Cheers! Bill Hunter, Common Ground
And thanks also for the review of "Haul It" - yeah that's intended to be an instrumental piece for licensing purposes. - Bill
In that case Bill, you nailed it!
Thank you for taking the time to listen and rate my songs! All the best!
I got your message re. 'Not Me'. I thought it was a great piece of work. I loved the way it built. Very atmospheric too. A song of this kind might get airplay on BBC 6 Music radio here in the UK. It might be worth giving the station a listen via the internet and pitch it to the appropriate show. Good luck. David
Thanks David! -- Bill
Bill. If you get played on BBC 6 Music I want a cut of the royalties! Only joking. If you do decide to pitch it to this station, I'd be interested to know the outcome. Regards. David
Do you know how I can pitch it to them?
Bill. An old fashioned approach might be best. Why not send a CD to the producer of the chosen show. Probably no more than three tracks, perhaps with a link to your Broadjam page. I did that with Virgin Radio (now defunct) many years ago here in the UK. I didn't get a play but I received constructive feedback which was useful. In my case it wasn't broadcast quality. BBC 6 Music Radio specialises in new music and it doesn't rely on advertising so I would think that at the very least the producer would listen to the songs and if you were lucky they might play your songs. Nothing to lose other than the cost of of an international parcel or courier service.
nice one
Thanks!
Hey Bill Better Life? GREAT song! GREAT Biker song! Congratulations to you and your band! David
Thanks David! Same to you! Looking forward to hearing our tunes on TV! - Bill
Congratulations on getting `Better Life' selected! It's an awesome track, very well deserved!
Thank you! We've had a lot of success with that tune and so glad to see it in another placement! Cheers! Bill Hunter Common Ground
I just checked out `Alive' - this is a SOLID SONG! In every way too; vocals, lyrics, guitar sounds and playing, killer drum groove (slow and sexy), great dynamics in the production and professional sounding mix! Great message in the song. I can see why this track is in so many top 10 lists.
Thanks Zac! We really appreciate the comments and the feedback! Bill Hunter Common Ground
Hello! I'm Zac from The Dead Storm and you have a wonderful review of `Do What You Gotta Do' - I could tell from your comments that you listened very carefully and I was very encouraged by your love for the song!

Thanks!! Really appreciate the feedback!! Bill Hunter, Common Ground
Hi Guys, Thanks so much for the great review of my song, ("Spinning On The) Time Loop" .... The title track to my first album, "Time Loop". I wrote the song, back in 1968 and it became a corner-stone tune as we began recording the first album. It was actually pre-Elton John. On the other hand, I was a great fan of "The Band". Have all their albums...and still I am a HUGE Robbie Robertson fan. This final track of "Time Loop" was produced by Nick Gravinites in San Francisco at Wally Heider's studio. We had quite a star-studded back-up band. Nicky Hopkins played piano, although he thought I should have played the piano because I wrote it on piano. Nicky did a GREAT job! Peter Sears (The Airplane, New Riders of the Purple Sage....etc) played the bass and Dave Garabaldi (Tower Of Power) sat in and played the drums. I filled in with guitar and vocals. It is a true 60's/70's classic rock tune...and a GREAT jam song. Anyway, glad you liked it. Stop by and listen to more, if you like. Also, listen to some of my re-recorded 60's classics from my new retro-CD, "Band In The Basement". I think you will like them.... Best of luck... Chet Nichols Inductee - The Kansas Music Hall of Fame
Chet - thanks for the background and history of the tune! Really enjoyed reading about it! It's an honor to connect with you and your music! Cheers! Bill Hunter, Common Ground
