Yes thanks Penny for noticing. I had THEE most informative and interesting conversation. The founder of Broadjam Roy Elkins called me last week. I had emailed customer service about how upset I was by not getting back responses from the providers, and that kind of thing. Questioning stuff. I didn't expect him to read the email or get back to me and I will give him plenty of credit for that. He told him that he didn't have my kind of complaints until Broadjam got so big. He said he used to know the providers personally and that it's gotten out of hand. He said, if this continues and he can't improve the communications that he's going to stop the listings. I actually believe him, he is the real deal I think. He struck he as genuinely upset, aggravated and searching for answers. But we both see he can not control other people and make them get back to us. He offered to personally plug 5 of my songs, but haven't heard back from him except to say they sound like demos but, someone may want to redo the vocals. Anyway, tons more and he does want to see what he can do with Broadjam. Also, I have 4 videos if you want to check em out on You Tube. just write in, Cheryl Edelman, Cat's singing and beg to get adopted. Baby Jesus, He Healed Me and Kid's Dance song. I hope to do more. Found an awesome inexpensive video guy, Rex, on Fiverr. com. Thanks again, miss our talks, hope all cats doing well! I've lost count of mine, well almost! Cheryl

Hi Penny, glad you like the blues song. My family sort of panned it saying it is corny. A demo company did it I wasn't there and I have to admit it sort of sounds dated and like it was played in a cheap sleezy bar. Still I like it also. and oddly enough, that song made me think of your funny videos, in that I could see you and yours, acting out the lyrics! Cheryl

Well, I've had many "selected" but instead they really got rejected. The providers as they call them initially contact you, but never got back with any details. That being said, I guess u never know, but discouraging. I'm working on a new Broadjam song called, "I THOUGHT I GOT SELECTED BUT INSTEAD I GOT REJECTED". Oh well, that is just me, so yeah discouraged. All that said, love to hear other peoples songs and you know how to set THE MOOD! Bravo my friend! Cheryl

Vermont is so gorgeous, you're lucky to be there! NY is hustle and bustle, although I am in the burbs, half hour from Manhattan and it's pretty here but nothing like Vermont. Please let me know if you find your flower song as I'd like to hear it! Thanks for mentioning the singer who is Dawn Cantwell. She was in Sting's Broadway show but the show didn't make it. Dawn did a solo called The Ship, that I think u can see on You Tube. So she went from Broadway to doing my cat demos. But interestingly while she does a great job on slower stuff, it was actually her friend, Mike Messer the producer and singer that we used and I stayed with him. I've had plenty of demos with so so singers and that has been a problem until recently. But getting back to Dawn, she is charming and has a lovely sentimental voice and she did mention how she loves Pick A Flower! So anyway, stay in touch and stay talented! Cheryl

Yes, and it is ironic that 2 songs got rejected today, and now 2 possibilities. I was so dejected it came at a good time, but this taught me not to get excited until the song/s are placed. That's a good way to look at things Penny. You have so many excellent songs, that I've heard so far. So is it hard to pick and chose which ones to submit?
Sometimes yes...I focus on a few different ones for a while, often the newer ones and then sometimes I remember an older song and decide to pitch it out...You just never know...I have noticed that BJ has a lot of new listings lately and that makes the whole thing more interesting..Again good luck with those new selections...!

I think you may have heard it as The Tabby Way? but the cat version was listened to by providers as much as 40 times and they passed, I think cause they had no way to place it. But then, my song in law Dejay, suggested I add adult vocals. Anyway, please let me know about your selected song. As for me, if the 5 songs don't get placed, I'm writing the Broadjam song as in. Hi Penny, I'm honored you're going to wake up to my dance song! One of my cats, Kitty, usual wakes me up when she scrapes at the door or acts out another way so I can give her an early, and I mean EARLY breakfast.(she purrrfers treats) If we'd let her, she'd eat all day, u know, like dogs do. I think maybe she was a dog in her previous life!. I'm glad you mentioned the publisher, it encourages mean to hear that! He's not a hard sell with my 2 girl cats, cause he loves them and so they tolerate him! Are yours from a shelter or rescue cats? I will think of Linden as lucky Linden from now on...Our indoor Female cats can be hard on our 2 indoor sweetie male cats at times but all in they get along fairly well...The four outdoor cats have little heated houses and are all good little troopers and good buddies...All of these cats just arrived in our yard one after the other VERY thin and hungry...All are doing well now and they give the love back..Keep pitching that show! Dear Cheryl, Hey, rejection is the Life's Blood of all songwriters! Why, if I didn't get a rejection at least once a day.....I couldn't go on, life wouldn't be worth living!! Just Kidding!! I have been writing songs now for 40 years and in the olden days, rejections came thru the mail from Publishers, Producers and anyone else that didn't like what I wrote! At one time, I believed I could have wall papered an entire room with rejection letters....Weeeeeeeeeeeee!! All of this has given me strength though! When people dismiss my tunes, I just think of some irreverent thought such as Pi** Off! (Quoting Monty Python) And then I'm a happy composer again!! I am sorry that you and your family are going thru such hard times, hopefully things will get better in the not to distant future! Oh, and if you think of it......the music is very therapeutic and an extremely positive outlet! I listened to xmas tick song. very very funny! I like the monkey song also, cause it reminds me, well, let me put it this way. U may have taken a monkey to your wedding, but I MARRIED one. Hi Art, I guess you are the ART in your group of names cause you are an artist! I'm going to listen to ALL your songs cause I don't want to miss a trick. Yeah, do I ever get the conventional thing! That's maybe why I stick around the interesting weirdo's and nuts with problem after problem. At least they pour their hearts out and that can equate into a song, well maybe. Right now I'm into writing for the Lord, hoping he'll give me a break. Of course, and with a last name like Edelman, it may be hard for people to understand. But I played piano for Bill Clinton when I worked at the Westchester Baptist Church. The first thing my Jewish mother told me is to NOT let then convert you. Later that year they dunked me in water.
