Hey N, Thanks for the compliment! Must be said, that this is the first piece I ever wrote in this style (unique soundtracks) , and I wrote it in sept 2011. Also, in this piece, the synthesizer (bass mooger) was made via reason. (along with the beat). Then ran it through some filters, playing with the automation track.

You got a really clean sound... A clean sound is way more important when it comes to showcasing complicated work with a lot going on. You could push that a few db but really. Unless you're confident in your mastering. Let it sit. You nailed your part. N
They say you're not supposed to master your own work. Shoot me the wav and I'll do it for credit today. I'd love to have my name on this production. N

Floris. Thank you for your useful and thorough review of 'Feel You Near'. Your comments about the drumming are very interesting. The drummer is the most experienced musician in the group with UK Top 20 hits and TV appearances to his name, and the rhythm section was recorded virtually live. I suspect that this gives it a dated feel and perhap that's what you've picked up on. In addition there was very little editing of the track. I think with modern recording techniques a tighter sound/feel is expected by the audience these days. Perhaps I'll submit it for a 1970s listing! Once again thank you for taking the time for providing useful and constructive criticism. Regards. David

Hey to all of my broadjam friends. Wanted to let you know that i am still here. Last four months have been intense. Many things have changed. Working fulltime as a dentist's assistant for now. But have gained weekends! Family first and am spending more time with my GF and daughter. Havent had much time to listen to all the new work you have been producing. And thats a lot i've noticed! Hope you are doing well! Am working on a new song atm. Going to be a sountrack and its going to be epic! May take some time though but have done some research in the genre and have loads of ideas. Hi Floris - Caught up with Bekker's Powertrip. After thinking I was tuned to the wrong station I realized what a righteous badass tune that was!!! Especially liked your staccato rhythm with the harp toward the end. Great crisp hard edge to that.
Hey Robert, You've been listening to a collab between Pgo and myself. Pgo did the harp, the rest is me :) We are really happy with the result. It's good to hear you liked that one! Hoping to do some more collabs with Pgo and will do so in the future! We're both caught up in different projects atm. I had this tune lying on a shelf, had it posted on BJ and Peter asked me if I had a tune that we could collab on.... thought of Powertrip right away! always thought it needed a good harmonica! and wow, did Peter deliver! :) Working on some dance tunes now..... good fun too! Floris was a good sport about the whole experience especially if you consider the fact that I tacked on the Edison recording of Rock of Ages without asking. luckily for me Floris has a decent sense of humor.

Yeah Expand 2- really cool you recognize the sounds, says alot about yourself! Great plugin. discover new things in expand2 every time I explore it. I also use Evolve and Symphobia. Knowing you like into the darkness, I can recommend you "No trace" Real happy with that one! it's Nr 2 in the unique soundtracks top 10 just above your song: enter the ass kicking hero (wich is a great one!)
