I met Bill and his wife Diana in Costa Mesa, California- I am a California State Licensed Contractor Since 2002 and during that time I was working on a remodel for his Aunt Anna Belle Lee Harmon - she was a lefty pitcher for the girls of baseball in 1940's and we became friends playing golf in Newport Beach - BilL found out who I was and came down to check on his Aunt to make sure she was in hands of course then, we became friends - I miss her greatly she was surprisingly the best friend I had in California and my favorite customer - She passed away on us in 2007 from Pancreatic Cancer and that was the last I heard from Bill and Diana.....

Hey Robert, Thanks for the nice note and wonderful review of my song, "The Mother Road". I have been part of the Route 66 Restoration projects for over 20 years and this song was inspired by Route 66. I was first introduced to Route 66 in 1966 on a trip from Chicago to Oklahoma City which is a wonderful trip. Then, again, once you get out into western Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California....it will blow your mind. Anyway, "The Mother Road", is about the various stages I have seen take place on Route 66. Glad you liked the story and the imagery. Best to you, Robert... Chet Nichols

Robert, thank you for the review of "TRADE EIGHTS"!When I master, I use head phones, straight out of the sound board, on my eq. With play back I use several pieces of eq.car, small c.d.player etc. Hoping the consumer will have plenty of room to adjust to their desire! I value every opinion! TAPPIN' TOMMY

Hey Robert, Thanks for the VERY nice review of my song, "I'm The Ice Cream Man". I comes from my CD, "Black & White", which is a "live recording" of a show I did back on 9/11/72 at Cowtown Ballroom in Kansas City, MO. The song is an original and was written in 1963 and was a tribute to the local ice cream man and his truck that used to drive thru the neighborhood and sell us ice cream. But, he also sold other kinds of contraband the most important, at that time, was firecrackers! Ohhh, boy! When I started touring as a solo act back in the mid 60's, playing clubs and concerts nationally, I turned it in a counter-culture anthem lauding the street-corner, "ice cream men" selling their wares. Anyway, it is a fun song and meant to be just that. Best to you! Chet Nichols Inductee - The Kansas Music Hall of Fame. PS I grew up in Chicago, so the blues is ingrained in my DNA.
