Thanks Edward! I really appreciate it.
thank you so much for your honest review on my song "do you think you are a star" I really appreciate the nice words and even your feedback! :) best! Max
My pleasure
Thanks for the kind review of one of my tunes. Your constructive critique is most appreciated! Steve
Hello SMD, Thanks for the nice review of " A Cold Blade Tells" Glad you enjoyed it. I did another version of it with a BJam guitarist of some note. Mr. Gordon Chapman. He generously added his brilliant guitar work to the piece. If you get a chance, please take a listen. I think you'll enjoy it. Thanks again............................. kenney http://www.broadjam.com/player/player.php?play_file=561_663440 1
Hi Kenney. I just listened to it. I love it. Such a cool laid back tune and I love the main bass line. It's so catchy and the lead gtr is so tasteful. Great tone as well. Great job man. I'm glad I had the opportunity to review this one.
I'm back on broadjam after a long absence. I have to do some updating to the page. I just added a brand new song to the page called I Can't Complain. It's a hard rock sabbathy meets c.o.c kind of a tune.
hi guys, thank you so much for taking the time to listen my tune FBI and the sweet words, I truly appreciate it! not sure about the noise you can hear in the song, none complained about it, maybe yes a conversion issue? anyway in my page should sounds great, I know the song has been cleared for tv show and is on air in some playlist as well, thanks so much! keep rocking guys!
I just want to your page and took another listen. I like the little lick at 1:43. Real cool tune. Anyway, I'm still hearing that clicking noise. I listened on studio monitors and also on headphones and it was still there. It almost sounds like a pre amp was getting hit a little too hard. It sounds like clipping to me. Its a high frequency ticking kind of a sound. It's not obnoxious but it's there. I'm not trying to drive you crazy. I'm just a fan of the song.
Thank you so much for taking the time to do it all, I really appreciate it! I understand what you are talking about, I guess I was trying to survive in the war of decibel lol I know what you mean, still got borderline confusing feedback about this, some can hear it, others find it working fine, I couldn't even hear it myself. But sure thing I've been pushing the mastering to the limit, I'll be more gentle with the next ones, even some room left for the final user is never a wrong choice. Thank you so much, especially for your appreciation, it really means a lot!
I really like Talking To A Dead Man. Not really heavy into the Rock genre, but I dig you guys. Keep up the great work.
Thanks so much for your great review of None, a collaboration completed with Austin Tyl3r.
Thanks so much for the review of "Believe Your Lies" (my collab with Austin Tyler). I recall hearing your tunes before and really dig your sound, so the respect is mutual. Thank you!
Thanks. I think I have reviewed more that 1 of your tunes and a handful of Austin Tyler's. Love the stuff you guys write.
a million thank you's.
Thank you for your review of Oblivion. Very much appreciated!!! Jason
No problem. thanks for writing a killer tune!
I wish I could take all the credit, but the main man behind that one was none other than Austin Tyl3R. It was a collaboration track. You can check out his music here: http://www.broadjam.com/artists/home.php?artistID=22048 1 Jason
Austin Tyler seems to work with everybody on this site lol! I've given a lot of good reviews to songs that ended up being Austin Tyler or a collaboration he did with someone else.
Thank you for a encouraging review of our song Speed Queen - I will do a new mix where I do some of the adjustments you recommended. Thanks again!
Cool. Keep me posted if you do. I'd love to hear it again.
Hello. Thank you for your encouraging review of Feel You Near. It's my first attempt at hard rock and it has received a bit of criticism from other reviewers so your comments are great to hear. I cannot take credit for the vocal though - that's my friend Mandy. David
No problem David. You are one talented dude! I'm listening to Arabian Dream right now and I'm loving it! Love the vibe and the singer is awesome. You're a very versatile writer. The next song just came on that has a CCR kind of feel to it. Great stuff!
Thank you for your kind comments. Your stuff is really powerful and great production I might add. Regards. David
SMD thanks for reviewing 'lost in the pain'...is a bit sloppy isn't it....I think it was recorded on my old Tascam 424 4 track cassette recorder....hank wasn't around so I laid the tracks down and never went back to it.........wish I could remember....I think it was recorded in 06 or 07...love the CD keep it fun...cheers stu
Hey Stu. I haven't checked my page in a while. I just saw your comment. I'm listening to the song again. I really do like the song. It actually has a little Nirvana influence to it I think. Thanks for getting our songs on iTunes. I really appreciate it. Talk to you soon. -JOHN-
you're in rotation on the ipod
hell ya guys!...i'm a fan....just hopped over to iTunes and grabbed your disks....keep it fun ...cheers stu
Sweet video for A New Skin :)
Thanks Austin :)
Hey there! Thanks for your generous review of "Burn Me Out"! Digging your stuff as well : )
Thanks John!
what can i say. Im a do everything guy in my basement with crappy gear, a low budget but a really nice guitar. the mixes change depending on how drunk i get or hoe tired my ears are. glad you liked the energy. for me that is what its about. thank you.
No problem. Keep crankin out the cool tunes!
just saw this comment....gotta love crappy gear and basements.....the northwest way
thanks for the review. Yeah, I would rate this song with the same points.
Wow. Just listened to "A New Skin", "Talking To A Dead Man" and "Dead Weight". You guys are tight! The drum work was fantastic. The guitars were burning and the vocals brought it home. The bridge and lead in Dead Weight were excellent and your vocal harmonies in all tracks were done with precision. Great work, here. Nothing short of professional! Now I'm really inspired by your comments. You've got another fan!
Thanks so much! Would you mind if I put your comment on my band's facebook page with a link to one of your songs? I like to share good reviews with our friends/fans while giving a little extra exposure to the fellow musicians that review our music. Thanks again. -JOHN-
How about this. I'll look you up on Facebook using my band's account (Back To Good) and like you/post my comment. Then you can share a link to our song "No Love" if you want. This way, it will be official plus you will have a new fan on your FB page. Deal? :)
It's a deal :)
Done!
I second what Back To Good said ;) Now, it's time to listen to some of your tunes!
Thanks for taking the time to review our song, "No Love". Your kind words are much appreciated. You reviewed two songs that I sang though they were performed with two different groups, "No Love" and "Get My Fix" - the latter was under Sum Of Zero - and your comments were very inspiring. Anyways, thanks again for taking the time to share your opinion. \m/ \m/
Having such a hard time reviewing songs on Broadjam. Everything coming up is instrumental. I have such a hard time with instrumentals :(
Hmmm... I would just review the same as a song with vocals. Most licensing opportunities on BJ are for instrumentals anyway, nothing wrong with them at all. Think of it as a part of a commercial or advertisement, or maybe even a movie trailer and review on the production and sound quality, rather than seeing it as lacking in vocal ques. Although, there are some that could definitely benefit from vocals :)
For me it's just a metter of taste. I'm generally just not a big fan of instrumentals and or some reason I just have such a hard time reiewing them. I like your idea. Maybe if I think of them in the context of a commrcial or trailer would help me out. Thanks Austin.
I feel ya... i ran into a batch of songs that the vocal work just wasn't that good on, so that perked my interest towards instrumentals :)
i am finally getting back into the biz after jumping out of it in 2000 to look after my disabled my and my brand new twins,Hunter and Kayce when we almost lost everyone at birth because they were crashing. My wife Nancy hung on for 5 yrs. and we lost her 12/7/05. So, now i am at the task of fulfilling the promises a husband makes to his wife and are, indeed, her last wishes. I wish she could hear you guyz too, she was always turning her friends and colleagues in the biz on to kickin new talent for the first time. She would undoubtedly have seen what we all see in you, except she probably would have come upon you guyz well b4 me.(and would have been the one to turn me onto your tunez)best wishes. D-day
Hey Derek. Thank you soooooo much for the awesome feedback! It sounds like you've been through hell and back. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Glad you're rockin again! Thanks again!
yeah, yeah,.....so, u katz r f#(&in' incredible...when u guyz get to know me a li'l better u will realize that these remarks are rare,.....few and FAR between. So, let's waste no space....this 'formula' iz not just working,..it's getting freakin' overtime!!
F#$&ing kick-ass!! It's like somebody resurrected the soul of Alice in Chains and bred it with Stone Temple Pilots, both of which I have large respect 4!! gotta run to catch "Dead Weight". Haven't heard it yet- catch ya over there in 5,..4,..3,..
... and so it has happened yet again. You have given me a suburb review and I'm really very humbled :) Thank you so much! I've been told I sound like Stabbing Westward before, that's really cool that you mentioned that. It helps when I try to describe my music to someone else you know? Too bad I'm not a performing artist... I think our two bands would make a really bad ass show!!! Keep in touch SMD! -Wes
Thank you so much for such an awesome review of Apocalypse! Love the comments guys! Very much appreciated!!! -Wes
No problem. Keep the awesome tunes coming!
