Hi, how are you? Get your song added on our playlist, email an mp3 file to radiomusicpromo78@gmail.com for Airplay.
Cool tune... Julia. Would like to do a sax version of this.... Joseph
thanks...you are welcome to do a version of it...
not sure which song you are referring to though!
Hi Julia, just a note of thanks - I'm still listening to your music, still smiling because of it! Any new music coming soon? All best wishes, Kathryn
Wow Kathryn-thanks again-I worked on a new track a few months ago-actually getting ready to move to New York so my studio has been broken down and is in boxes so nowhere to record right now-maybe we can meet up sometime in the city-I see you are based there-
Julia, that's wonderful news!! I would love to meet you, and I'll email my contact info. More smiles from me!! :)
Oops, can't actually email you until you OK the Bjam "friend" connection...
NOT SURE HOW TO DO THAT!
Hey Julia, thanks for the hand up! Listened to all your stuff. 'Ancient History Instrumental' is my song as i'm a guitar guy. Good guitar work and nice theme. It's cool to just chill with your music at Starbucks on your headphones to drown out the obscure drivel they have playing. If only we could plug in to cut off the current playlist to pipe what "we" the customer is listening to and obviously likes... Cheers, Mike
Thanks Mike. Don't know how u found me but I'm glad you enjoyed listening to these old songs!
Your just one of those stars in the sky that shines the brightest... =)
hii

Julia, I just listened to "Seeing U". I like it very much-your vocals, the arrangement and the musicianship. Keep going, Lady...

Hi Julia, I just listened to your wonderful music. Here is my only constructive criticism: you're selling yourself short by calling ancient history a "techno mix"...and I'm pretty sure the techno community would come after you if you played this at a house party... I really enjoy your variety! Nils
Thanks for the feedback Nils...what category would you put that song in? I hate the category thing...
I guess I had that one coming, didn't I? I personally believe it's important to categorize yourself although I usually fail at it and show too much variety to be successful in any one genre. In this particular case it is really difficult but I would go with Electronic and Unique: You have a Hip Hop beat but no rap. You have an electronic beat and some pads but also real instruments. And of course you have beautiful vocals. Maybe you should just call it adult alternative? Sorry, j/k. Nils
Well thanks for the input Nils...it points up the category problem, doesn't it? Maybe there should be an "eclectic" category?
By the way a friend of mine submitted his album for review to TAXI some years ago and they gave him very high marks, saying there was nothing he could do to improve upon it...at the same time they declined to forward him for any opportunities, because all of the buyers were looking for music that sounded like someone else...so pathetic!
I like the eclectic category! I think you're touching on one of the big issues in today's music business: The business side needs to succeed and therefore works with a formula. Also, the business side influences the market as much as they can to push the formula and make money. I always hope there is this one person that is listening and will take a risk to push an independent artist forward and great artists like you meet your own risk taker at some point.
Interestingly, a lot of what I listen to are unsigned artists...for this very reason...there's a lot of good stuff here at Broadjam I find...I will check out your songs...you have a lot of them...which are the ones you recommend I hear?
That's a nice loaded question. It depends on what genre you'd like to hear...I would stay away from most of the Hard Rock/Heavy Metal ones except the ones ft others. The Blues Rock is pretty cool and in general the collaborations IMHO.
Been checkin out some of your stuff...really tight playing! Liking it! Very Satriani-esque...I actually like the Hard Rock...some of it reminds me of Sass's Jordan's L.A. band from the 90's which is huge compliment. Hers was one of my dream bands...are you familiar with her work?
Thanks for your kind words. I wasn't familiar with her work but now I am and I'm glad you told me about her! If you ever want to get in touch with your inner Sass give me a shout. I would love to write and record something in that direction. Nils
I would love to take you up on that! i am working on some new material now...Listen to her album Rats...it will knock your socks off.
I would be honored. Give me a few days to present you with a music bed and you can make up vocal melodies and lyrics.
I was trying to send you a message but bjam showed me an error. Let's do it this way: Hi Julia, if you want to send me your email address I can send you a track to see if it inspires you. I was listening to one of my recent songs today and I thought that might actually work. I'm curious to see what you think. It's probably a little more modern than Sass Jordan but has potential. After listening to Sass and your repertoire I'm inspired and in the process of writing a couple of songs that are more tailored. Talk soon, Nils
jjfoley1@msn.com thanks! look forward to hearing it Nils...
Just don't expect me to ever come close to Sass! She is everything I wish I could be!
Hi Julia, I sent you an email yesterday with a song and a few words. Let me know if you received it. I've got the first Sassy tune almost ready.
I love your music, writing and your amazing unique voice!! Very smooth.
Julia, Congratulations for #1 in Jazz!!! Another great song, I hope you go places....
Thanks CenterPeace! I wish you the same!

I never finished it unfortunately! Just a demo!
Thats alright Julie I will buy what you have I totally understand not finished. I have tons of unfinished stuff but I am making it my priority to complete this stuff between now and next year.
Julia where is your entire record
Totally love Seeing You. It's a beautiful soothing and relaxing cut and I will certaintly like to add it to my playlist, and yes I will buy it.
Thanks so much for the feedback...I have some good news for you...it's free! NOw you have an extra .99! Have a great day!
by the way, am listen to "Mr Smooth." Sounds great, reminds me of Paul Hardcastle...I may have to pick up the CD!
Well we are going to buy your music we believe in MONEY. You deserve to be paid for that my Sista.
Yea regarding Mr. Smooth I had some assistant from a friend of mine in the industry with that selection and a few others.
Currently I am getting most of my work for arrangement services. It happens to be a gift from God that I didn't even realize I had for many years. You are about the third person that told me it reminded them of Hartcastle and I love him.
Is your entire album at iTunes?
Julie Thanks for your kind words. I love your music as well and have scored you very very well when I have done reviews. Thanks again! Steve
Thanks Steve, I really appreciate it. I did not even know of my status until another artist bought it to my attention. I am grateful and truly honored and humbled.
You are correct, my vocals are awful, but we will try again. I finished the song in time for Valentine's day! a good friend of mine received an email from his fiancee, saying don't bother flying down! found it to be a great song to do live, I tap-dance to the instrumental part. maybe i know it well enough to rerecord. TAPPIN' TOMMY
NO they are not awful! It' s a very cool song!
Your Vocals are Wayyyyyyyyyyy Cool,, Love it, reminds me of Sade, but I know it's you.
But of course Joe! I made it a point to! LOL
hey julia--the age old question--have you ever stood on the corner in winslow arizona--i saw a picture one time where they have a monument or somthing there honoring the song--take it easy,by the eagles--cheers--joe.
Thanks Laura...I am very flattered and appreciate your comments...I listened to It's not the Way and it is a great song. That is a song I would love to sing! My only critique is I think you have ended it about a minute earlier and then it would be more effective, but maybe that is my songwriting training I got over the years and take it for what it's worth...The song has a lot of feeling, and I love the Ghost Town imagery...in fact, I think "Ghost Town" would be a great name for the song, because it creates a strong image that is easy to hold on to...I started listening to LA LA Love, and my internet service kept shutting down so I only heard pieces of it...it's good also...I imagine I would enjoy it more live...I only saw 2 songs on your profile...keep writing and performing! I like what you're doing, and any time I would love to listen to your new creations...thanks for taking the time to write me! CHeers, Julia
I love your music, your voice is very captivating. Your songs been going round my head the last few hours. I wondered if you would mind listening to my music, any tips and guidance is much appreciated. I have been writing songs to perform for a few years, but writing for films, adverts is all new to me. Thank you for your time Laura (from rawkis) xxxxxxx
blues for u--wow!!! this is some great stuff--thanks--you might like my /i want your lovin tonight/song--see ya--joe
