Kyal, Thanks for the reply. Fortunately, I was able to record everything on my laptop at my house. I brought it to a friend to help with the mastering, but he was real cheap. I was thinking that maybe you might be able to help me rewrite some of the lyrics. I sent my stuff off to some professional critics and they were not very nice. To put it in a nutshell, the music was good, but the lyrics and vocals were not to their liking. If that's something that you could help with, I'd be really honored. I think that writing the lyrics was the hardest part of what I did. If you could help rewrite the lyrics, I'm sure that I could get someone around here to redo some of the vocals. (Although, I really enjoyed your voice, but understand the studio issues). Let me know what you think...thanks, Tom

I dont really know how to do long distance collaboration (I just wrote these songs at home and then paid a FORTUNE to get two guys to produce it for me!!) so I dont have access to a studio or anything....But if i can help in any other way i would be glad to ...not sure i could add anything to your 'already great music' tho. You got what it takes good stuff. Dude below might be right about the engineering though. It could be mixed better, so in order to emphasis your voice. Vocals should be at the forefront in your type of music.
I agree with all of the other comments, but, I think you are being overpowered by the music, that carries a simple solution, your engineer can fix it tout-de-suite. Your biggest problem, as I see it, is that everything sounds so much like everything else on the charts, which is not a bad thing if you are Britanny\ Spear's sister or sometyhing equilivent, but for an unknown, there are beaucoups millions of other girl singers just as good in the final mix, and that is the competition. Not easily overcome, but it has been done and will be done again. The solution, find something different, find something, maybe just a line, maybe just an intro, that knocks their sox off. Good luck.
