Hi, Jim. I did some looking around and found your video of "Sunset," a very well done heartbreaking song of how love endures, and with the grand feel of country living! Your melody and story line grows and becomes more majestic with each verse. No wonder the judges in the contests you entered were so positively drawn to your songcraft. A very nice job, sir! Thank you for stopping by to my page, too, and for the terrific comments and stars for "Just Another Weekend" and "Ride the Wave." It's always a pleasure to share songs and thoughts with you! John

Jim, you did a lovely job with "Where the Mountains Reach the Sky." Melody has a sweeping feel of the country, your story line has joy and conviction of having won your heart's desire, and it works with the melody like a marriage. You chose a terrific female vocal. Did you play all those instruments? They're played perfectly. Come by for a visit. I have a new song up, too. This time with a folk influence. I found a wonderful female vocalist from Buenos Aires! John

Hey Jim--- once again my page will not let me "reply" to comments so this fresh comment is a reply to yours....
Thanks for the kind words -- I appreciate your recognition of "real" instruments - I have a digital keyboard to get piano and organ sounds otherwise everything is real, and played and sung by me, except on a few songs where I give credit to other players... I listened to your Drift Away-- I think I like it best so far... believe it or not the first thing that struck me was how perfectly the tempo was selected... the vocal melody more staccato and complex than your other stuff, and the vocal arrangement is beautiful. As far as One Night Stand I already reviewed that in the Review process a couple weeks ago so I remember it, nice song as well. Keep up the good work!

So I am writing you a fresh comment to say "Thanks" and that I will listen to those songs of yours you suggest.... I keep playing the piece whilst writing what I am experiencing.
Had nothing but pleasure with this.
Well done Frank!
Just wondering if you heard my, "I See Her Dancing" or "Dear Jane"?
Soon to release one called "Sunset".
As usual, it is a story!

Hi Jim,
Yes I did indeed listen to both "I See Her Dancing (Tim)" and "Dear Jane"... I really enjoyed both and rated them 5 stars. They both tell great, moving stories. By the way, you mention, "...a single red rose..." on "I See Her Dancing". I'm not sure if you've had a chance to listen to any of the three versions I have of my song "One Red Rose", but you might find one of them interesting/enjoyable.

"Dear Jane" resonated with me first off because my wife's name is Jane! Secondly because although I never served, Jane and I were apart for nearly a year after we were married here in the states. She had to return and wait in her homeland of Australia for the immigration process to run its course.

So, interesting parallel there!

Thanks again for listening... I'll send you the versions of "One Red Rose" along with review requests. No expectations on the review, but if you do care to provide an official review, I'll definitely appreciate hearing what you think.

Hi Jim,
Thank you so much for reviewing my song "Princess Jane". I really appreciate you taking the time to listen and provide such insightful and kind comments.

That one is a very personal piece that I wrote for my wife Jane. I play it for her on a regular basis typically ending my "noodling" session with it. She has a special placed for it as well... stirring many personal memories and emotions.

Thanks again for listening.

Be well,
Frank

Many thanks for the stars and playlists for Achill Lament and Rolling On, I'm very grateful. Still waiting on the outcome of the UKSC.
You did well in the DSA contest, you should be pleased. I had a quick look at the results video and one or two writers seemed to dominate every category, heaven knows what it cost them to enter. Very nice that our own Thierry took the place by storm.

Cheers,

Hi Jim. The century should be coming up soon, I hope. As for recommendations I suppose it depends on what you like. I've got songs in all sorts of styles, from acoustic stuff to House music, even Reggae. For a modern pop song you might like 'The Way You Change'. For something more retro 'Keep Me Warm'. Folk/Country 'She Can Fly'
Cheers. David.

Hi, Jim. I heard "Dear Jane" on the Hot 100 and got the high mark from me. It is one of the few superb songs. Thank you for the five stars on "Comes and Goes." I'm glad you like it. Bob Bentley did a wonderful job of producing it. He did all the instruments and arranged it. My guess is that you're headed for cool and cloudy days now. Sorry Di, I didn't mean to mislead you! I do not sing on my songs.
I only write the Lyrics and the Music!
I record me singing with guitar and send it to a musician to have the music created. I then send to a singer. I have been fortunate enough to use great singers to match the songs. Tim Patterson from Florida has sung most.
Kimberley Dunn from Ottawa sings, beautifully, "The Promise", "Drift Away" and "One Night Stand,"
If you were Teary at "I See her....." you better have a tissue ready for both, "Drift Away" and, "The Promise"
If you enjoy any of the songs feel free to select the No. of Stars they deserve!
That is what helps our songs go up the Top Ten Charts on here!
Will hear more from your stable!
Cheers, jim
