GERALD, Thank you for the review on "TEXAS SWING' YOU are correct, one of my earley songs. I have learned a lot from fellow members, TAPPIN' TOMMY
Gerald, want to thank you for the review of " This Time". The song was written by Janet Steely and the original version is on her website. I asked her if she would mind if I did a Jazz/BS&T version of it for free. She let me change the melody and do my own version using her lyrics. Bill
Thank you so much for your kind review of our song Alligator. We appreciate it so much. We lost a Blues legend today who is an Alligator Records artist, Johnny Winter. My wife (and co-artist on our songs and singing on Alligator) had a brother who did some recording with Johnny and was the bass player for his brothers band the Edgar Winter Group. Her brother Dan Hartman is the one you hear singing on Free Ride. Dan is also the one playing the guitar on that recording. Dan wrote that song when he was 16 years old. Thanks again so much for your review. Spark Hartman and Rusty Newcomer (Signal 30)
Singal 30 You are welcome and anything I review will be my honest opinion. I must be true to myself and the artists music I am commenting on. So, what I said was from the heart. I would like to contact you directly, as I had a question or two concerning the contents of your reply. I was in Sedalia, MO. in 1974 when Edgar Winter played at the music festival, along with 'Nitty Gritty Dirt band, and many others. It was a crazy time and place to be. You may email me directly here. gdu@iland.net
Thanks fo nice comments on "Seeing Through His Pain To The Bottom Of A Bottle". Seriously, the longest song title in my catalogue! Appreciate it! Steve
Hi Gerald, Had to write something about your review of my "SATIRICAL" stinging lampoon about drivers driving whilst yacking on the mobile! I can see from your comments you did not "Get it" at all!? As the saying goes "One cannot please all the people all the time!". The song is ironic and having a go at the selfish drivers not giving a damn about other drivers and/or pedestrians safety but yacking on their mobile whilst they are supposed to be concentrating on their driving! Cheers Dave Austin
Hi David, I would only say that I do get that, having been almost hit head on by one of those fools. I had to take the ditch. I wanted to "TALK" to them real bad. If you get my drift. I'm sorry if I was a little over critical. I was trying to look at it from a listeners point of view only, as to how the song was structured. I think it could be a very good song, if the song structure was critiqued. As and example of what I mean; give a listen to 'Allan Jacksons', 'Designated Drinker'. It has and intro', verse, bridge, and chorus, ect.. That is what takes the listener along for the musical ride. I hope this helps in some way with your music. I'm not a person who wishes other artist to fail, on the contrary, I want them to grow with their art, and wish the best for them.
Good evening Gerald. Thank you for your kind review of Scenery. We are working hard to improve our music; I'm looking at live instruments for that track to raise the production even more. The best to you & your music brother.
Never Surrender: Your review is ironic to me, because the 3 systems I ran it through the Vox were way too high. So I have done 7 Mixes to bring it down lol. Damn me for changing it lol
That's good Ron. I guess it's as the old saying goes, trust your gut on your first intuition.
