Yes, has the best beat!!!!!!! You have quite a knack with jazz fusion. I assume you are the guitarist judging from your picture.

Nice playing. I like the EQ on your piano.Your style should go well in dramas and sentimental scenes in movies and television. Great work!

Hi Sam, thanks for the strong review on "Blue Night Without You." I like your suggestion to pump up the drums periodically in the mix. I appreciate the feedback.

I just listened to "What kind of Love." Very creative and original. I like your lyrics as it seemed to blend well with the rhythm. Also, you have a great singer.

Thanks much! Yeah, Hope Griffin is a semi-local folk singer I found online, but I convinced her that with her tone she could do this song. She really nailed it!

Your song, Gretel is genius. And well executed!

Ian, I also wanted to thank you for your ratings on one of my jazz songs. I've actually been consumed with music projects which has kept me away from getting back to you sooner.

Possession Riddim; Wonderful Reggae. It's traditional and modern at the same time. How did you do it?!!!

Thanks John. We mostly used classic instrumentation and effects on that one. Live horn section, tube saturation, old school effects for organ and guitar help keep that classic vibe but modern techniques slip in there a little tool The way I figure it, even King Tubby would evolve with the times.

Absolutely! And Motzart would be writing hip-hop. He was known to write what the common folk sang and played.

Hi Ian, Thanks for your 5-Star ratings. Sorry it's taken me a week to get back with you. My day job's been keeping me occupied.

Your music is strong and creative. I like music that breaks out of the traditional for any genre. Here and Now does that with rap and Mind Games was wonderful. It should work well in a TV/movies and trailers. Great work.

Hello Pain,

Let me tell you that I am very impressed with "Beware Future." it is very different for Rap/Hip Hop. It is wonderful to hear a song that breaks from the traditional. That's a mark of a trend-setter instead of a trend-follower.

Hi Skye Entertainment/Nancy Jean, I confess, I have not been following the comments section on line at broadjam.com. I have just noticed that you have made several comments to me that are all complimentary. Please do not think I have been purposely avoiding responding to you. I have sent you an email and once to your broadjam.com mail to me when you selected my song "Summer Jazz." Thank you for your interest. Frankly, I really hope my music will provide revenue for both of us.

Well, Thank you very much for the 5-Star rating on "Dapper." Considering that you are a provider, that is definitely an added compliment to my work in this song.

Hi Billy, Thank you for your review on Mystic Dwelling. So much to comment on here.

First, I see you're from Lawrence, Kansas. I was there for 6 years in school. Are you KU trained?

Second. My God! I listened to the first to songs on your profile (About Time and After 8). Talk about depth in music. What a talent. You are very accomplished so the positive rating from you is quite and honor!

Third, it is obvious that you are making a living from your music. It is very inspirational to see such accomplishment here on Broadjam. I just wanted to share that with you.

Well Hi John,
I missed the "KU" part of Lawrence and moved here 30 years ago for the music scene and to be centrally located for the road trips back in the band days. Ah the memories of those trips and thank goodness there wasn't youtube and facebook going on then.

Thank you for listening in to some tunes, the playlist adds, and the kind words you sent my way, my friend.

You take good care John.

Smile tons,
Billy

Hi Glenda, Thank you for the review. It is spot on. "How I Wish" is from an earlier period of my music production development, so I can go back to improve the vocal now. Your voice is very pretty. Thank you for sharing it with the world.

Hi Robert. Thank you for your review of "Panning the Streets." I like your name suggestion, "Strollin.'" I appreciate your comments. Your page does not show any songs. Is that just a website error? I'd love to hear some of your work. John Gerard.

Hallo John,
Many thanks for listening to and critiquing A Hole in the Garden and for giving it 5 stars. It is very nice to hear the music critiqued. Beatrix is a gifted musician, but since I am the producer, and I write the lyrics, I get the attention. You took in the song all together. I will send your review to Beatrix, she may do more with the music as you suggest.
All the best from Birthe

Hello Doug, I appreciate the 5 star rating on "He's Near." I went to your site and listened to "I Feel Alive." What a wonderful song for EVERYTHING. The lyrics are polished and sophisticated as well as commercial. The music is a wonderful blend of instrumentation. You're voice is magnificent and the production quality it top of the line. Did you engineer the work? I am impressed. It was easy to rate this one a "5." I will listen to more of your work later. I have to leave now for my day job.

Thank you so much for the wonderful compliment on I Feel Alive. That one is the only one I had done in a professional studio. Please don't expect anywhere near that recording quality, and especially with the vocals, on my other stuff. While I am quite proud of the music, melodies and lyrics of many of my other songs listed, the recording quality is nothing like it is for this song. Thanks again, and nice work with your music too. :-)

You picked a great song to record professionally. I'm sure you'll get a deal on that one. Then you can do thAt for your other songs.

Your Christmas song is wonderful, the lyrics so full of love and gratitude, which are so important in life. I would change one word: snowy - it was not - starlit would fit........But it is lovely as it is, I'm just being a pedant.

Thanks, Birthe. I appreciate the comment. I "stary" would be more accurate. I went with snowy since it fits more with traditional Christmas time many Christians imagine. Should I re-record it, I may change my mind. Us lyricists recognize the importance of one word. I actually debated stary for a couple of day before we recorded. It take a great lyricist to catch that.

Don't re-record, Christmas means snow to the northern hemisphere. Only sticklers like me are going to give it a thought. Star lit is my preference. When you listen to The Shortest day you will hear the singer pause and bungle antipodes. It does not fit in the meter. It is humor, but she could not sing it with stress on anti. The same word slides easily within the meter of Christmas Solstice.

Hi Birthe, I listened to The Shortest Day and loved the guitar that blended well with your talented singer. It reminded me of something that Quinten Tarentino would use in one of his films. Not so much the content, but the style and vocal quality. Great work. I like your choice of words.
