Thank you Lyfe for making me smile with your stars on my tunes recently. Take good care, Billy
Billy! How is the Waving Prairie treating you. We keep talking about maybe moving back to Lawrence.... that would be weird, but Chicago is terribly dangerous and the state now SUCKS. Anyway, thank for the 5-star nod for my song, "Your Eyes Speak Louder Than Words"> I love that song, now is I could get Adele to sing it.....!! I hope all is well with you. I listened to After 8...nice work. God bless you, buddy....Chet Nichols PS. I just posted a happy, new song, "The Apocalypse".... powerful images. Sometimes, I just have to let the beast out of the barn, ya know?
Hi Chet, Who needs Adele when YOU sang it so awesome!?!! Keen tune Chet. I look forward to hearing The Apocalypse. Peace and tons of it brother, Billy
Hi Amy, Thank you kindly for your time and ear (and the keen stars!) for the song After 8. I'm still smiling. You take good care, Amy, Billy
Happy Wednesday Billy - thanks for the ears on Lights in the Distance, it's great to connect with so many great musicians here on BJ - keeps the motivation and inspiration flowing which is such a necessary ingredient for the mix... thanks again! And best of the season to you! - diane
Hi Diane, Some mighty fine work on your side. I'm still enjoying listening to your keen tunes. Really great stuff. You take good care, Billy
Hey Billy, Ahhhh, Lawrence...I miss it in many ways. Tonganoxie, especially. Thanks for the 5-stars for my new Christmas song, "The Christmas Train". Sweet tune. Odd how vocally it seems to channel Boz Skaggs and Bruce Hornsby. I recently wrote a song, "The Transportation Blues" and people have said, "How did you get Joe Walsh to sing that song" Huh? Oh well, I am still chugging along and writing and composing...but I don't write rap or hip-hop, so the music gets some nice nods as people say, "I REALLY prefer EDM". Ha, to wit I say, I am working on some of that. I Hope you are well and that you have continued success. I love Broadjam's crowd. Had to drop the PRO account because I was getting NO ACTION from their licensing opportunities..... Anyway, say hello to Liberty Hall for me. I used to rent the top floor at 615 1/2 Mass. right across the street. Had a big music studio and painting studio there. God bless, Chester
Hi Chet, I hear the Skagg/Hornsby vocal sound in The Christmas Train, and it's spot on for that smooth tune. Good stuff always Chet. You take good care. Peace and tons of it, Billy
Thanks much for the nod on Can You Hear Me piano and strings. Much appreciated! Stay well. Warren
That's some good stuff Warren. It's always a pleasure listening in to your keen tunes. Smile tons, Billy
Right back at 'ya brother...keep on! Warren
...and that's YOU on the keys? Absolutely fantastic... WH
Hi Warren, I have played piano in bands for more than 40 years and it is my love! Thank you for the kind words my friend. Take good care Warren. Peace and tons of it! Billy
Hi Warren, I hope you are doing real fine. Thank you for all the stars on You Fly. Coming from the likes of you, that means a ton! You take good care Warren. Peace and tons of it, Billy
Well deserved my friend!! Cheers to you and yours! W
Billy....I had a song in a submission that you were considered for...I then took a listen to all who were considered and really enjoyed your submission...which made me look up your page...really good stuff...I listened to all of your tunes while sitting at work...personal favorites: Superman Dance & Just Rewards. Also love the album art concept you have for each song. I had been thinking of the same kinda stuff for some of my stuff.
Hi Joshua, Thank you for the time listening in, along with your keen and kind words. I listened in to your goods and enjoyed it all, Joshua. Oh what fun, huh!? I look forward to hearing more from you and the folks. You take good care and let's make this new year crazy good. Peace and tons of it, Billy
Hi Tony, Thank you sir for the keen and kind endorsement. Merry Christmas and make it all good Tony. You take good care, Billy
Billy, I hope that "Addition Addiction" made a placement in some sort of commercials with an uplifting background. If not, you should try and try and try. It has all the ingredients. Nice work !
Hi Thierry, Thank you for the keen and kind words. I appreciate you taking a moment to listen in! You take good care of yourself Thierry. I look forward to hearing more of your good works! Billy
...and thank you so much for the stars on the tunes Thierry. You are quite kind!
Thank You Billy for your fine rating on Mes series B (instrumental). I found your profile very insteresting and will surely enjoy listening to some of your creations next week. Would you have a few to suggest ?
Hello Thierry, I've enjoyed many more of your tunes since then! I appreciate your take on my tunes any time you have a moment Thierry. I don't read music so we come from different backgrounds to make our music happen. I find that so interesting when running around here listening to keen artists like yourself. Keep up the fine works and production. You take good care Thierry. Peace and tons of it, Billy
Billy, "Big Difference" is really haunting in its overall mood and of a high quality mix. Especially liked the guitars. You are definitely a talent to hear. Thanks for connecting.
Hi Thierry, I had to tell you about that "guitar". I played a clean guitar sound on the keyboard and threw enough amplifier effects to make it scream just right! What fun, huh? You take good care, Thierry, Billy
Thanks for the 5 stars on "This Old Cross" Billy!
Hi Randal, Another great Randal tune for sure. Thank you for letting me have at it a bit. You take good care brother. Smile tons, Billy
Hi Billy, I just wanted to check up on you, since it has been a while. I hope you are doing well and I hope your music continues to bless those who hear it -- I know that I am touched every time I listen to your work. Take care, Jon
Well Hi Jon, Life is grand my friend and even grand-er that I had a note from you. You look like you are staying in keen health and your music continues to be top notch always. I've been doing some "online" music with our church (that's kept my musical side busy!) and started some live music this last Sunday. How's the school thing going for you this year? Some changes I bet? You take good care brother, Billy
Hi Randal, Thank you for listening in and for the stars on I Sing. I'm still smiling. You take real good care bud, Billy
That is a great song man! Talk to you soon!

Hey Billy, I've been back in the studio for a while, finally done. come check out the songs on my album "Souler Power" you would probably like that material best, and then maybe the "Super Deluxe" album songs Hope your doing well, oh and I finally got a song picked up by a library, "Walk the Walk" by perpetual motion music. looks like a decent library. Thanks for all your advice. Barry
Hi Barry, I'm still listening in... but these new tunes are sounding great. Writing, production, playing.... all the goods are there and sounding awesome. Keep up the good fight Barry and congrats on the PMG pickup! And also, thank you for the recent song likes on my side. I always appreciate it Barry. I'll be gigging at Overland Park Farmers Market tomorrow morning til noon (Julie Major Trio, my first gig with those fine folks). Take good care bud, Billy
Hi Chet, I hope you are doing real fine. They are keeping it real warm here in Larryville! Thank you for listening in and the keen stars on About Time and Good Side. I appreciate it Chet, especially coming from the likes of you!. Take good care my friend, Billy
Hey Billy, You are most welcome. Good stuff on your part. I hope you are having success making some money doing it. I just finished a new album of songs I wrote when I was up in Tonganoxie. Fun stuff. Uptempo....wide range of styles..... check it out at: https://chetnichols.net/cd-tonganox ie-americana-pie Please stay in touch....and keep up the good work. Chet. PS I'd post it to Broadjam, but I am not allowed to....cause I am a MINI member. Had to cut the PRO strings for lack of making any deals via their licensing deals.... I guess I need to be more Hip-Hop, Rap... Electro Bass....blah, blah.... WARM up here, too....
Hi Randal, Thank you for the stars on the tune First Things. I appreciate your time (and tunes!) always. Randal, take good care bud, Billy
Lovely song
Hello Joy, Thank you for listening in and your kind words. You take good care, Billy
You are welcome Billy. Best wishes !
Hi Barry, Thanks tons for the endorsements and the stars on You Fly. That just made my day. You take good care, Billy
The music on different roads is really awesome, but there's something about the character of the singer that seems odd, for lack of a better word, Have you ever considered redoing the lead vocals or making an instrumental version of this, Its a really soulful tune, just love the keys. Its a little darker and more melancholy than the vocalist is capable of. It needs a male vocalist. a Black male male voice. Stevie wonder, Otis redding, Bill Withers, and you gotta let me redo that guitar solo at the end, Yea this song needs some really soulful guitar.
Hi Barry, That's funny you mentioned that on Different Roads Barry. It was/is an instrumental to begin with, called Separate Roads (in my list somewhere)... one of my first songs on Broadjam. I had a friend wanna put words to it a few years later and so Different Roads was born. I've had a couple folks around here add vocals to some of my tunes. Randal Dunkle here at broadjam has a handful of songs up that we've worked on together, he sends over his vocals to one of my tracks, I add bg vocals and all the rest. Coyote Project sends over acoustic guitars and vocal tracks and I make them big ol' songs. Fun stuff always....when there's time. Thanks for listening in and your thoughts on it all for sure Barry. Take care, Billy
What do you record with, Pro tools? my guess, Is GarageBand compatible with with Pro tools? I guess One could always just mix down an individual track and insert it into whatever software they want, just be tricky to get the timing perfect but not impossible. So anyway, we should collaborate on something, You have the piano skills I don't, and I have the Guitar skills you're missing. seems like a good trade. You find something you wish you had a cool lead in and I'll find something I wish I had some cool keys on and we'll swap . Just let me know if your interested, no hurry either . I don't have anything in mind yet But I'm sure I could find something.
Hi Barry, Yes let's keep that in mind for sure my friend. Billy
Hi Barry, Thanks for listening in and tossing up all the stars on a couple tunes around here. I appreciate tons bud. You take good care Barry, Billy
sure thing, same to you, i noticed you checked out a few. Hey, I just put a new soundtrack piece up called The Longing, check it out and let me know what you think.
Hey Billy, Do you know what the "endorsement" tag is all about, theres a button under all my connections that says endorse but I don't know what it means and can't find an explanation of it anywhere? Thanks BTO.
Hi Barry, You know what?! I've never been sure what that "endorsement" stuff does. So let's just find out. There. I've just endorsed you for Songwriting and Guitar as they are well deserved.. let's just see what that does. Let me know if you get any kudos, credits, candy, etc. And that new tune The Longing is super sharp Barry. Good stuff in there all around for sure. Peace and tons of it, Billy
cool, I guess its just some more pretend authority here on BJ. fun site, seems like a lot of good people here and some pretty good music too, But I wish they had a licensed songs thread like Song Trader, so you could actually see all the songs that get picked and not just whatever manages to show up in your notification pile.
Hey Hey hey, Billy Pilgram, This is Barry Osbourn, salty Iguanas, I just ran into you here and was like MMMM I know that guy!, Great music, I listen to several pieces, It looks like you've been at this a while. I'm brand new, just decided to get into it about 3 months ago and been on here for about 3 weeks. Wondering how the whole site has worked out for you? How many songs have you licensed? what do you think the ratio has been from submission attempts to being chosen? 20 to 1 50 -1 , I guess that depends on whether your musics good but yours is fantastic so I figured if you aren't getting winners then theres no way I will.
Well Hi Barry, What a pleasure to see you 'round here. Ahhh yeah, the Iguana/Rambler days.... and we're still alive! Good stuff then and fun stuff now. And Barry, I've had some songs placed in catalogs with publishers in LA and overseas but still waiting for some $$$. (I keep telling them they'll make half.... so I want them to be rich, ha!) Some good stuff around here: Broadjam does connect you with music-minded folks and I've collaborated with a few and had fun. Still waiting for them to make a bunch of money on the tunes we worked on because, again, I make half. ;-). Keep doing reviews, you'll meet tons of folks that way and get half price submissions with 10 reviews a week I believe. Purchasing submission packages at a discount is how I generally roll and have rarely paid $5 for a submission using those methods. Those offers come around monthly-ish. You take good care Barry. Peace and tons of it, Billy
Thanks for the words, brother, That sounds a little encouraging, After listening to your professional recordings on here I thought surely had some placements but hey libraries are a good start. I've listened to a lot of stuff on here and it runs the gamut, lots of really good stuff and unfortunately quite a bit of ear cringing things too. Well I guess thats what you call democratization. I don't know why but I've got the bug again and just can't stop making music and trying to land one of these deals. ooh well I guess we all have to have an obsession of sorts, I figure its like playing the lottery but instead of there being a million other people playing theres only a few hundred or thousand. Take care man and I'm sure I'll drop another line down the road. peace out. Barry
Hi Amy, Thank you kindly for your keen stars on You Fly. I appreciate your opinion tons! I'm still smiling. You take real good care Amy, Billy
B&S, Thank you for listening in, and the stars on the tunes. I appreciate your time and kindness. You take good care, Billy
