Hey Lou, Whaaats up? Say, nice to get a review by you. You just reviewed my song, "Texacan Love". I wrote it back in 1970 (so, "the Lady" is now 46 years old).....and it is part of my 1973 album, "Taxi To Tonganoxie".....so it is very retro, as you noted. Stephen Barncard (CSNY, Brewer & Shipley, David Crosby) produced this little gem up in his home studio over-looking Beverly Glen. We had a TRUE cast of LA characters on this record. Although, two of the songs were recorded in SF up at Wally Heider's studios. Anyhue, thanks "mucho" (very much) for the reviews. Oddly enough, on top of all the new songs I am writing, producing and recording, I am re-recording a lot of songs like, "Texacan Love", using groovy digital tools as opposed to the 16-track 2-inch tape machine used on the 1973 recording.....so, I appreciate the review and I am happy to say that this song is on the docket to be re-recorded. I JUST finished one of these re-records on another 45+ year old song, "The Transportation Blues". People ask me how I got Joe Walsh to sing on this version? Anyway, check out his new version....I am sure you will enjoy it. I'll let you know when the new version of "Texacan Love" is out of the oven. Hope all is well with you... My Best, Chet Nichols
