Hi Frank thanks so much for reviewing my tune All of the Above (Vocal Version) - glad you liked it - I appreciate your time and feedback. Good Luck to you with your music!

Hi Phil, Just stopping by your page to say a big thank you for your kind words about my tune The Winter - I'm very glad that you enjoyed it and I really appreciate the feedback! Good Luck with your musical ventures! Nigel

Thanks for the review of Barcelona Intro - it's actually a cover of the introduction to the Freddie Mercury/Montserrat Caballe tune called Barcelona. Always loved that intro and wanted a crack at reproducing it. Came pretty close I think!

Good luck with your music!

Thanks for the review of my tune Stronger. Can I ask which part of the vocal is unclear? I find it strange that you say you can't hear the words. Thanks.

Could be me but I was having a hard time hearing out the lyrics over the instrumentation.

There's a coincidence Nigel , I received the same comment from Collaborations for one of my songs Nigel .
Also , as i recall , I gave 5 stars for Stronger . Every part of the vocal was crystal clear .

As I said it could be me. Sometimes I have a hard time hearing the lyrics when there is a lot of instrumentation. I did really like the song

Hey Bill thanks for the critique of my tune Puerto Messina! It's called that because I was lucky enough to have Miami musician Paul Messina play sax on it! He's awesome! That's the great thing on here for me - being able to hook up with others and Co-write.

Good luck with your music! :-)

Hey guys thanks for the review of my instrumental Drab Chung - I appreciate the critique. It was inspired by two bands hence the title - Drab Majesty and Wang Chung. As you suggest it was written as an instrumental but I later recorded a vocal version called Rocket To The Sky. Thanks again and good luck to you :-)

Hi Frank, thanks for the review of Piano Man - I like your suggestion of a lead instrument to give the track more direction. I'll have to revisit it and see what I come up with!

Hello Steve - thank you for the review of my 'Film Score Idea' track - it's really badly recorded and not mixed well as you rightly identify - I recorded it after realising my old Yamaha SY88 synth was about to die and I'd yet to put it down for posterity so I recorded it as was before the synth died - still a work in progress. Thanks again and good luck with your music!

Thanks so much Steve for the review of The Day That They Came - lyrically it's about what happened to the Jewish population in World War II. I had previously visited Birkenau and Auschwitz and this came as a result. Thanks for the critique.

I'm hoping you found the review useful. I did generally suspect that was the subject of the song (or a modern version of it). I wouldn't necessarily go crazy based on my opinion, but I think that understatement works best when the real world situation is unambiguously communicated to the audience and possibly some of the listeners who would connect most readily are aging out.

Best of luck to you and your work!

Thanks for the review and useful critique of my tune Sorry - it was a lyrical rewrite of a tune I wrote about Zimbabwe. You make very fair points! Thanks again.

And two more! Thanks again - glad you liked Goodbye Yesterday and my RnB 80's instrumental (which I agree needs drum reworking!). All the Best with your Music Frank.

Hey Frank! Thanks for the review and critique with suggestions for my instrumental version of my tune Tenderly - I appreciate it!

Thanks for the review of my tune Puerto Messina! It was an instrumental of mine that Miami based saxophonist Paul Messina kindly played on. Always great to work with people overseas! He's an awesome musician. Thanks again.

And another! You're on a roll! Glad you liked my tune Open Your Eyes! I liken it to something Wendy & Lisa might put out at least musically. As is obvious I'm no singer but it's fun trying. Thanks again Phil. Good Luck with your music!

You're welcome, Nigel. I liked those 80s songs as well. "One Night in Bangkok," "Life in a Northern Town," "Sanctify Yourself," the punk of Echo & the Bunnymen, Joy Division, stuff I can't write or record...and I loved the fluffy, sugary ballads of the Carpenters and David Gates (my "Stay Here Now" reflects that), and the disco tinged songs of the Bee Gees (my collaboration with Robert Quigley on "You Can Feel It"). Robert and I have realized we've got to update our sound and go more towards EDM, so I've been teaching myself mix/mastering and we'll look more into those styles. I love the mix of New Age synths and the energy that EDM has. I'd say with your songwriting skills, your dream of having a pop artist record your songs is in your favor. Best to you, Nigel. I included you in my latest news (not that I have any kind of following) but maybe a few friends will drop on by to listen to your pieces. John

Thanks for the review of my tune Sorry! I appreciate the detailed feedback and suggestions. For info 'Ms Scheindlin' was a reference to Judge Judy (Scheindlin) and the being judged inference in the story in the song. Thanks again! :-)

Hi Nigel -
Thanks for the follow-up.
It's a nice song.
Ah...OK...the Judge Judy reference might narrow your audience, though. The lyrics have a nice impact when you're staying with YOUR feelings and thoughts.
Good luck with it!

Hi Nigel,
Thanks for listening to "Do You Wanna Dance". Sorry you hated it, but jeez, it's just a cover of a 1958 R&R tune by Bobby Freeman, tried to make it a little retro. Still friends I hope, like your stuff...
