Hank,
Great tunes and congrats to you for getting chosen for the licensing deal. I was beginning to wonder if that was really just a bit of a scam but your choice has renewed my faith, now I know someone who has made it. That's a good thing in my world.
Thanks and keep up the great work.

Yo Lil puf,
Thanks for your review of "Traveling Salesmans Blues" Danny did the vocals on that one and we were sort of trying for a Sinatra type sound. I'm glad you liked it. I appreciate your thoughtful comments and suggestions, I'll look into your suggestions about the change of "feeling"
I listened to your "Goodbye" Superb! Keep up the great work and keep listening.
Thanks again.

Thanks for your positve review of "Having Heard All This Before" I appreciate your suggestion for the extra eight in the middle, haven't been able to come up with anything quite right yet. Still thinking aboout it.
Listened to some of your tunes, very nice. I loved "We Were Soldiers" What is the instrument you are playing on your tunes? Is it a madolin? It gives your music a very distinct (cool) sound. Keep up the great work and keep listening. Post more tunes.
Thanks again,

Yo Omar,
Thanks for the reviews of my songs "I Can Make You Smile" & "The Trade" Your point on the conversation at the end of "Smile" is well taken, I'll look into it. I was going lo-fi on that intentionally, trying to go retro-AM/ old live. I am sorry you didn't like "The Trade" I think Salley does a fine job on the one. I played my copy on line and it sounded OK, perhaps you got a bad feed, it happens.
I listened to "Kiss Me" very nice. Load some more tunes.
Thanks again and keep listening.

Yo Joe,
Thanks for the review of "The Boarding House/Sweet Natalie" That medley is from an album "East Farewell" that I have been working on turning into a musical for a while now. That was supposed to be the "Greek Chorus"/townspeople introducing the characters. Unique for sure.
I'm very impressed with your accomplishments. Thanks for taking the time for the review. Keep up the great work and keep listening.

J.D., I want to apologize for the review. What I heard on the Broadjam playback was like a butterfly static that would play and then cut off. I could hear some music behind it but it was very quiet and I couldn't make it out. Out of the songs I reviewed this evening, it only happened on your song so I surmised it was some type of experimental music. After going to your profile and listening to the song like it is supposed to sound, I just want to tell you that I enjoyed it immensely. Keep up the good work and I apologize for the weird review.

Sorry for the delay, I was away from my computer for a few days. I connected with you so you should be able to send me BJ emails. Frankly, I am not sure what my BJ email address is and can't seem to find it anywhere on the web site. I am probably just missing something. Try the connection and let me know if it works. Otherwise drop me another comment.
You are right, you gotta watch yourself out here. Believe it or not I have gotten some harsh comments, ME! I'm like the most laid back guy in the world. Oh well, they are just like water off the back of a duck to me.
Anyway, try to email me through BJ and see what happens. You can always use owner@jdcarrollmusic.com. That is my label email.

Yo Nick,
I worked with the incomperable Sally Elsey on "The Trade" She is in England and I heard some of her tunes on Broadjam and thought she could do a fine job on my tune. I contacted her through Broadjam email and asked her if she would be interested in helping me out. She said sure (somewhat to my pleasent suprise), I sent her raw tracks and she did a super job adding vocals and harmonies, just great. I remixed it a little and posted it. It was really pretty cool.
When you say GB file, what is that? Sorry for my ignorance. I know if the files are too big you may need to use YouSendIt (I think its: yousendit.com) or some other big file transfer program. Hang in there, it can be done and I am pretty sure folks are doing it all the time.

JD

J.D. GB means GarageBand 11. The 2011 MacBook Pro is a kickass music mixing and CD creating tool with GB. I am using Mixcraft as I am stuck on XP most of the time, but am trying to migrate to GB for better sound. Yes, it is tool cool to work with our ancient relatives over in England. Kind of makes you feel all warm and cozy. Thanks for the insight into the top 10. Keeping my eyes crossed. - N

J.D.,

Great work on On and On and On! The best songs write themselves. Only you might like a few of my tunes buried at the bottom of my list, and unloved. To the Moor and Ice. A good Pennsylvania Boy like you sounds more Folk than Country, although the Celtic influence on both is apparent. I think Country took more from the Irish, and Folk more from the North English (Scottish, Welsh). In any case, the Beauty of your work continues to inspire. God Speed! St. Nick
