Hey Paul: I just listened to several of your songs including "The Edge Of Darkness". This piece reminds me of a Moroccan dinner party where everyone is stonned and listening to Pink Floyd. Anyway, I love the tone of your tenor sax. I wish I could get you to listen to two of my sax pieces and get your imput. I think they have the potential to be classics but need a true soloist like yourself. Greg

Hallo Greg, do the lullaby lyrics work at all? I know they may not..............
These lyrics are really good. They don't fit the daughter's lullaby melody. I was thinking of writing a new melody/song for them. I'm in the middle of a new song that's almost finished about happiness (it will one day be in a commercial). As soon as I'm finished, I'll start the new song. I was thinking of "The Sun Never Sleeps" as a title. What do you think?

Hey Monk: Thanks for the review of "The Other Side". It's appreciated. By the way, I just listened to "Soon So Real". What a great song. Your vocal is really unique and has alot of subtlies in it. In fact, I have to say it's one of the better performances I've heard on this site. I'm not sure another artist (read your bio) would do this song justice. Greg

It's not in your head-it's a good song, alot of energy and it has a improvisional feel to it. I would change the way the lead guitar comes in at 00:41. Rythmically, it seemed distracting. I know you were doing a triplet as you came in. Maybe the tempo of it was a little slow (not sure). Also, the harmony on the chours seemed a little bit off. Maybe thats the way you wanted it but to my ear, it stuck out. Hope you don't mind me being honest. What are you using to process your vocal? Sounds like a lexicon-it sounds good!
ha thanks--yea that lead at 41 was to cover a mistake-rhythmically--i bounced so many times-when i discovered it -tried to cover..thats what i asked others-and yep you caught it-it doesnt work thanks..as far as vocals-ive always thought rock was emotion not perfection..so im happy with those--not a fan of the voices and idols and..ect rather hear Plant crack several times tring to reach a note..THANKS !!

With respect to classical Chinese music virtuosity means 'natural.' Hypothetically, when it is played properly the listener should be able to tell what it is about. Apparently, it was perfect enough for me to get it right.

I was 47 when that was taken for my brother's second marriage in 2007. Both of the songs I have posted came from the same event. The sweet one was for the happy couple. The sour one was inspired by an obvious gold digger in the wedding party who spent the whole reception complaining about the rich guy who left her at the altar. I was fortunate (or not, depending on how you look at it) to look very youthful for most of my adult life, but I was hit by a car at the end of 2007 and again in the summer of 2009. I look closer to my calendar age now, but between physical therapy and illness I haven't bothered about my head shot. I figure that I can get a new one when my appearance stabilizes. You're absolutely right. I'm sure if I asked her, she'd tell me how the lyrics inspired her performance. By the way,I listened to "A Friendly Talk" which I thought was a wonderful story that would make a great illustrated childeren's book with the recording packaged into it. Do you know any artists?
I do know several artists, myself included and my niece in Denmark who is a well known (in Denmark) painter and our neighbor who is a graphic designer and did the cover for the album with Beatrix. I did the cover for the wild hyoties.......... you are absolutely right, it would make a good book, and so would In the Corner of our Garden (sung by my daughter in law). Illustrators are very expensive, and publishers are hard to find. I really should force myself to make a try. It is so very encouraging that you think it would be a good idea - thank you for that.
