Hey there, I just had a listen to "Everquest"...that is one serene and peaceful song! I was entranced for the 3 mins 28! Can I ask what effect you added to the piano to give it the really old upright piano feel? Or was that what you used to record? Really impressed with this! I'm working on an instrumental which is not simply a non-vocal version of an existing song so this was really helpful to listen to for technique. The piano 'riff' is very catchy! Robert
Thanks, Q! I really appreciate that! I record it on my Yamaha keyboard, then use my DAW (Studio One) to correct my too many mistakes and build it out a bit more. The DAW has an "Acoustic Piano Resonating Softly" effect that I used for this one. So glad you liked it. I consistently like/admire your work. Cheers!
Ah...I'm glad that I heard the sound correctly then! It works really well and gives it a certain depth and ambience. I think that is the correct word! It's a really enchanting tune which calmed me this morning after a sleepless night!

"Waves"-great track! I love the way it genuinely does take you to the beach and you can immediately picture the waves and the tide combining together. Very clever how it subtly jumps out of sync/tempo occasionally-exactly how the waves do. Well done!
