Thanks for the listen!! Yeah there are a lot of different scenes in VA, even in my own town of Charlottesville there are tons of very accomplished musicians.

A few days ago I teamed up with producer Milan Nenin to create a 4-song EP of Gypsy Jazz Electro-swing music. I'm really excited to take my music to the next level with such a great producer!

Hi Ian, I couldn't help but hear a similarity to my songs when I heard "Star Lights". You seem to capture some of the same feelings I've had into your music. Basically, I can really relate to what you are doing musically.

TSP, Here are my thoughts on Elemental Dubstep: Opening note clipped a little on my system. It could be part of the patch, but I didn't hear it in the rest of the track. I am a little partial to those thick, rich "OB-8" like string sounds that you used in the opening. Loved it. Drums were pushing the beat slightly, sounded like a punk track. It felt a little awkward at this point. The entrance at 22 seconds and the exit at 40 seconds are both quite abrupt for my taste. It's not uncommon in this genre, but I think a swell into the entrance and sustain off the exit would make the part more effective. Love the quick bass LFO that enters at 43 seconds. Works very well with the drum groove. Very nice transition to the tasteful sound at 1:06. Transitions can be sudden if the sounds work well together. In this case it does. Love the hat-like sound and the groove that is created here as well. Nice EP at 1:28, with a solid groove behind it. I especially liked the groove that comes in at 3:03. As I listen more, I began to wonder if this is just a sequence of loops that never returns to home. I love the sounds and loops that were used, however there seems to be no continuity in the track. Other than the consistent tempo and guitar loop that comes in at 2:41 and returns at 4:19, there isn't structure, rhythm or melody that gives the listener the satisfaction of hearing something they heard earlier in the track. It was interesting to see what was coming next, but I found myself wanting to hear some of the killer parts again. Make sure the bass and drum "drops" are the centerpiece and are repeated. Pros: A very tasteful ear picked the loops and sounds used in this track. Some of the grooves could be a piece unto themselves. I really like the direction of this. If this was my song, I would pick the three or four of the best grooves and work on the transitions between them. Creates some bigger peaks and valleys in the track, pick the listener up and let them down. Pick them up again and let them down again. Good work and hopefully this feedback helps. Best of luck, Roy
