David, thanx 4 reviewing my "Clubbin' It Up" track - I was dying laughing when I saw your opening comment "was worn out by the ending..." I performed the track as a small piece (showing the various ways it could be used for a commercial) that's why I never changed the melody (but changed the instruments approach to the melody) I apologize 4 that (LOL, LOL, LOL) !!!

If I ever use this track commercially, I'll make remix it with melody change over(s) I promise...

Right now, I'm sitting in my wheelchair in a four -bed hospice room, writing a new song at my little tray table desk with my HP laptop, my Android cell phone, which I can use to harmonize using Sound Cloud and then Skype recording sessions in Nashville. It's amazing to me that I now have 2 songs in the Top Ten Holiday genre, one in Mixed Vocals, one in Country Religious and another in Spoken Word... all 5 since March, from this small space with help and encouragement from my volunteer caregiver, David Melby-Gibbons. When he first walked in carrying a guitar, I knew divine order was manifesting. And so it is! After hearing the 3 newest demos, "I Don't Want to Live Forever", "Hate to Have to Love Yo u, But I Do" and "Lovin' Over Budget"(#7 Mixed Vocals), I've been given the green light to record 10 MORE! That and feedback from you all -- especially you, Mrs. Kate -- makes me look forward to getting up and back in my chair.... I'm blessed with all the free time...my typing is cursed by PD.

Thanks for reviewing "Make My Heart Your Home" we really appreciate it. Definitely understand what you mean...our singer has a slight lisp...but we think it adds some character to the music, also being from NJ we barely understand ourselves sometimes lol. Thanks again for listening and reviewing

I'm looking for a recording of "You'll Feel Wichita". It holds much sentimental value, for me because, next to my daughter,Hana-li (a powrful singer-songwriter BTW), it represents the high point in my life...so far. By winning an international song search hosted by the Wichita C.O.C., posted in The Wall Street Journal. it lit my passion for creating lyrics, which burns on into most nights, including this one. I've looked up and down to find the music track and today I got a query in my Word Press Blog from a man who is looking for it for his brother's birthday. Now I've got to find it --the ante's upped!

Thanx 4 ya review of my Clubhead 001 track. It's a 5 yr old track made as a chillout club track. Whenever you review some1's track, you may not want 2 think of things from your perspective "The song didn't hold my attention very long....some kind of epic break or build up would have been nice" be more specific or give an example of a track w/the type of break your speaking of may be helpful.

Anyway, I see u have been a member since 2008 (me: 2007, but I just started posting trax in Jan. 2012 and have 1,200+ song plays in a little over 2 months + 3 different songs of mines made Broadjam's Top 10 List twice within the past 2 months...)

I listened to your 3 trax (u only got 58 song plays !!!) and your trax didn't hold my attention too long either my man !!!

Peace !!!

Thanx 4 taking da time 2 review my track "OSG FS 001 (Future Synth)" - when you said "Seems to need more depth and substance, or it is just background music." This is why I'm referred to as 'Da Instrumentalist' - I strictly do Instrumentals.

o FilthMoth! I appreciate your very in-depth review of my track "MyBadd" it was really on point !!! I'm just a music hobbyist thinking of going 'Pro' in the near future. I thru this track together, really jus' 2 post it on BroadJam and to show everybody just a little bit of what I'm working wit.

Wit' a name like FilthMoth (I thought it was a play on Filthy Mouth) I was a bit intimidated to checkuout. The main reason why I started doing my own instrumentals is to get away from the main stream or street music vocals.

I did check U out though, a maybe soon we can collab on something.

I made Filth Moth to steer away from main stream current day madness.. while still maintaining mass appeal. I also started Filth Moth for all Media, Including, Graphics, Fashion.. etc. Music just the gate way! Music is what I do.. It's in my blood. I'm 100% down for a colab.. I don't even have 1/10th of my music on this site.. I also manage artist and have a large selection of styles.. Just wanted to get my feet wet and build my confidence before jumping in head first. Get at me.. lets talk!

Hey brother Gee.Notez . . .
First of all, THANKS SO MUCH for your kind review of my song, "ME, MYSELF, AND CRY" . .your comments were very kind, and I thank you for taking time to listen to the song . . I believe that your assessment was entirely ON POINT and I need to update the drums and probably the whole song! Your constructive comments are greatly appreciated!

I just listened to your great song, "THE WESTSIDE GUITARIST, PART 2"---WOW!! I think you've got a potential monster hit here, bro . . the guitar, in my opinion, adds that certain element of commercial "unique-ness" that is so lacking in much of today's pop/hip-hop music (my opinion) . . .your freshness in the way you use instruments (I also listened to Joonz Way) is extremely commerical and unique . . keep at it!! You've got a monster talent . . . .God bless you in all your musical endeavors, and I look forward to hearing more from you . .

Peace,

JUICE - When I listen to some1 else's track I try 2 envision their painting or vision 4 their work for what it is...ART. We make muzik based on our memoriez, feelingz and/or emotionz 'Who really has the right to tell someone, that a track they produced (reminds them of their dead relative or friend) - doesn't sound or feel right?' In my opinion - "No One!!!"

So I hope I never offend any1 in that sense, but when I looked at your titles & listened your tracks, I wish I had a background in teaching muzik or being taught muzik. I play strictly by ear only. If it soundz good, I'll play around with it, until it feelz good, feel me?

Like yourself, I'm looking to be discovered through my wurx. Keep on knockin' 'em out playa !!! We'll both get there 1 day...

I appreciate the thorough way in which you listened 2 my trax...when u get time, please give sum mo' of ya thoughtz...it would be greatly appreciated !!!

HEY, KELLY @ YOUR "Too much production going on...I don't know how to review this song...I gave it a straight 4 across the board as...I do wish you the best of luck." 1st Thanx for reviewing my "Westside Guitarist Pt. 2" track. As trends continue to cross barriers Fusion based artists like myself look to expand across those cultures (this is a blend of Pop/New Age/Hip-Hop and R&B) with a building up effect to a drum march.

Thought it was interesting, so I went with it...Song to be casted to a Pop/R&B or Hip-Hop artist.

Hey Gee.Notez! That's totally cool! I understand about the crossing barriers thing. I just wanted to make sure you knew that instrumentals aren't really my strong suit, so I felt like I wasn't able to provide a solid, knowledgeable review. I get where you were going with the building up effect. And, I do think plugging it to a Pop/R&B or Hip-Hop artist would be very effective. Let me know what happens with it. I'd love to know. Please stay in touch. Cheers! Kel

Just tryin' get a clear picture of what U were sayin'. Music is an audio form of art. When someone paints a drawing, it's most likely from their own inspiration. Gee, Thanks for the reviews of "Low Street" and "Visions of You". As for what I was thinking when coming up with the concept for Visions, I recorded it for a love scene in a movie that I did the soundtrack for. Mr. Martin,

You have a very great ear for music . . . The piano fx was put into place because I enjoy raw (in the front) piano a little too much (so I'm tried some variation fx). I definitely appreciate your thorough review of 'The WestSide Pianist Pt.1' track. To be perfectly honest though, I was only doing these trax from a hobby standpoint. I believe I'm ready to take my MUZIK to the next level.

I usually review stuff under the impression its for their own listening and not professional release. I might bring up little things but usually I don't drag them down too much because of lower quality recordings. But you really should take this to the next level, get it polished up and pro sounding. I firmly believe you wouldn't be wasting your time by doing as such.

Thanks so much for the encouragement. I value your musical opinion very much. This is a 'home studio' produced and mixed track. I really trying to go from 'hobby stage' to 'Pro'. My background was mainly Hip-Hop R&B, but I love all types of music (especially my inner Soft-Rock) but Contemporary Jazz has always had a hold on me! You're right! This was for my own listening (as I try to develop my talents) because I play entirely by ear. But with precise reviews like yours - hopefully 1 day soon, the 'Gee.Notez' (G.Notes) won't just be for my keyboard nickname - it'll stand for the $$$ signs in my bank account. By all means - keep in touch !!!

Its all about finding the right blend of production and talent. Perfect production does not a good track make... just makes it easier. I listen to a lot of older jazz from the fifties and sixties... production of Wes Montgomery album is great, but to hear it any other way would be a crime. Look at some modern rock acts. Foo Fighters won awards for the album they made in their garage. The Black Crowes performed albums virtually live... the list goes on and on. Its all about finding your texture, and I think you're on the way to getting that.

On my days off, I will spend some time listening their craft. Expressing myself musically and working on my engineering perspective has been my biggest goals (getting that proper mix-down). I am truly appreciative of your words of encouragement (and with this digital-age faze)...maybe 1 day soon we can do some work together over the internet via e-mail.

From Peer 2 Peer: THANX!
