Hi Michael. Many thanks for your review of 'With You - instrumental'. I never intended to post it but took some advice from another BJ member who said it doubled his opportunities, which I can understand. Your comments are much appreciated. All the best from a freezing cold England. Matt

Hi Common Ground, many thanks for the review of 'Standing on my Doorstep' which was written by Samuel John and produced by me. The feedback is great as this is very much a work in progress that Sam will be finishing in a break from university early this year. All the best from a cold, wet England.

As requested, I had a listen to your songs and they are really great. The quality of recording is superb, vocals strong with melodic hooks. Constructive comments? Having listened last to Ivy (worked down the list yanow) the harmonic guitar notes are out of time with the strummed acoustic which is distracting but that's about it. Great work - I'm going to add 'Ivy ' to my fave list.
All the best from a snowy England.

YES---MATT----song was really nice--i always try to listen to the lyrics--when i review a song--i think that is most important---BOB DYLAN has a song--or songs that have been recorded by so many people and done to many different music scores--i always think of words first!--cheers--joe------keep at it!

Anita. Many thanks for your review of my tune 'Into the Valley' and I have to say I have left similar comments about similar songs. I have played in orchestras in the past and appreciate the beauty of a live performance. This is the first time I have used this 'Orchestra' and, given the limitations, I am quite pleased with the result. Many thanks

Hi Anita. Thank you very much for the review of Sow the Seeds. I agree with your comments- the production does let it down a bit. Just listening to some of your stuff. I am very impressed. Great piano work! Your songs are full of atmosphere and you have a very distinctive style. Excellent- keep em coming!

Nice to hear you've got instrumentals AND great singer-songwriter pieces on your page. Best of luck! And unfortunately, we're cold and grey here, too... I keep a picture of Aruba close to my desk for inspiration.

Thanks for taking the time to review Firefly. The sounds of the instruments is currently limited by the software I have. Reworking the vocals is very much the priority.

Milly. I reviewed one of your songs, Walk on By, tonight and really like the quality of your vocals. I was intrigued so had a further listen and think you have some really good stuff here. I'd suggest you get them recorded by a studio/friend with some good kit! Best of luck with them. Matt

Matt, thanks for your feedback I really appreciate it. I totally agree and these songs plus many many others I am working on with an experienced musician in a recording studio. I take all feedback on board, this is totally new to me putting my songs out there after many years of writing them but doing nothing about it!! Thanks again

Kathy. I've had a listen to Secret Place and can see the '70's Epic' connection. Again, I think it is very unusual for Broadjam in that it is complex, original and touches like subtle tempo changes add a human quality. A quiet vocal that leads to the keyboard solo is great. Constructive comment? Difficult as I do 'get the song'. I come from the era of Pink Floyd, Sky, and other bands that constructed an album around a classical theme and, therefore, tracks that play a part in the whole. I'd say that your keyboard playing is, compared to ELP, too perfect, if you know what I mean, but I am looking hard for constructive comments!!! All told, I really love it. Your producer can really be pleased with the sounds he's creating as well. Really surprised about the keyboard parts. Very best of luck with it. Matt

Thank you again. I have two comments I think are funny. My husband is a lover of classic rock - along with my son and grandson who is 9 years old. I also have developed a real love of it but my background is classical and country. country from the 70's. But I was in a guitar store - young guys looking to help other rockers - and I went over and played my "Secret Place" and heads turned and they were soon there waiting on me seeing what I wanted. It was fun. By the way I performed the first half of Trilogy at a small pub in New Jersey with my producer - it was great fun and very well received. Thank you for your encouragement.

Sorry - there is another song of mine you might find interest and I would be interested in what you think. It was inspired by Emerson, Lake and Palmer - specific Trilogy and the one about the Pebble. If you have a mind to listen to it would find it interesting what you said about it.

Sometimes when someone reviews a song, the writer says "they got the song" - you got the song. And it was interesting what you put in for a proposed title. Thank you for all the compliments. The flute and strings were from a keyboard; I will tell my co-producer your compliments. He will appreciate them. Thank you.
