thank you so much. a little background, i am stretched on your grave is an anonymous 18th century irish poem which is a staple folk song in ireland. noteable versions include, sinead o'connor, kate rusby, dead cant dance. we wanted to give it a contemporary vibe . so happy you enjoyed the song. stephan :)

---Review of "Black and Gold" by Stefo--- Positives: The first think that stood out to me was your voice. It is extremely rare to hear such a captivating blues vocalist these days. I absolutely love the tone of your voice. I feel like I would be at home listening to this song in New Orleans during the 40's or 50's. There is so much potential for this song to be placed into a movie or TV show based in the mid 1900's, but there is also potential for many people to enjoy your music enough to buy it separate from a sync opportunity. The instruments in this complement your voice very well, and it stays true to the jazz and blues feel. Constructive Criticism: Overall, there isn't much that I would change about this song. The only thing I can see adding to this song are some trumpets and saxophones. I don't know if you have ever heard of Saint Paul and the Broken Bones, but I would suggest checking them out when you get a chance. I feel like your styles are very similar, and your voices are equally satisfying.
Oh ya, I forgot to give you a score! Overall, I would give the song a 9/10. Like a said, the only reason that isn't a 10/10 is because I feel like some brass instruments would totally bring this song to the next level. However, that is just my opinion. Either way, AMAZING SONG!

Dear Stefo......You recently reviewed our tune, "Bad Capitalist" and gave the tune...pretty high praises....THANKS!! In your review....you mention that the composition could be a perfect fit for.................. a euro mix of this in a German nightclub. Question, would that be sung in German or English......just curious?? We have never been to a German Night Club!! Another question........would you ever sing on another Broad Jam member's songs???
