Hey Patti and Beau (and Kim Kelly), Glad you all liked the song, "I'm The Ice Cream Man". It was one of the first songs I ever wrote when I was 14 and working at my first job as a busboy in an ice cream parlor on the weekends. I convinced the owner to let me take a break from washing dishes and pull out my guitar and play 4-5 songs for the patrons. SO, I wrote a song to celebrate the "place" and the fact that someone actually let me ply in front of an audience. Of course, when I was done, I had to put my apron on and clean the tables. Pretty funny. I do remember the first time I played the song, I was scared shitless, because the other 4 songs were common folk songs. When I finished the song, people sat there stunned and didn't clap....at first...then they did..... Anyway, to "Celebrate The Summertime", I have made the song available as a free download at my site....stop by and get a copy. Best, Chet Nichols

Hey Margie and Art.....No problem....I loved your review and it was fun to see that you listened to it a few times and began to like it. Funny thing is when I buy a new CD, and YES I still buy them, I give them a 5-in-a-row, back-to-back play before I do any analysis.... I think it often takes time to sit back and find the groove of the writer. On the other hand, if ya find a song you like and are intrigued by....multiple listens is a great way to enjoy a song. So-o-o-o-o, thanks for the review. I will head over to your site and dive in when I have extra time.
