Kind of stumbled onto your page. "See Him See It" is a sweet tune. I just joined this place, but you inspire me to get some more of my songs on here....I think we write our songs from a similar place. Good stuff, my friend. I'll be back. Hope I get the chance to review you songs. They're sweet tunes.

Basha: Thanks for the review (Old Hat of Chris LeDoux). Yeah, I know the recording isn't the best. I did it at home on a digital workstation. But thanks for recognizing the merits of the song. God bless, Chris

Hey Chris! You are welcome!
I always try and listen to the "heart" of the song. A lot of folks on BJ don't get that. They seem to expect a big production, and who has the funds for that!
You have an authentic deepness to your work.

Matt

Chris, thank you for reviewing "Take A Chance". I listen to a lot of songs and music and try to find what makes them stand out from the rest and it is really hard because to me, most every song is telling the same old story just in different words. The only way to make it sound different is to have a top ten artist sing it and for the most part, they are not any better singers than a lot of the talent here on Broadjam. I'm not including myself in that perspective because I know I need work on my vocals and I am planning on having a few of my songs redone by a better vocalist, that is why I like the review section on this site. Thank you again,
Ron Watkins.

hey chris--i do more poetry than songwriting anyway--i been doing poetry shows here for about 17 years--i never set out to be a songwriter--it just happened--i read a lot of poetry books and got lots of stuff floating all over the globe with my name on it-i still liked the dead poets society movie--i got such a following for awhile-pople would by my poems, signed by me after the shows--i love it--i took a break for awhile--getting ready to go back at it soon--i got one of my poems published in a book and it is in our public library--only took about 40 years to get that done--cheers to ya my friend--joe.

Joe: Check out cowboypoetry.com. I have a few poems and songs on that site. Trouble is, they take about 8 weeks to decide whether to accept or reject your submissions, and you can only send one at a time. Lot's of good stuff on there though. Cheers, Chris

Nothing personal Chris. I'm sure you are a good person. I just think I would have a different arrangement. Story line is fine. I appreciate any criticism I get as it helps me to get better. I am constantly re-tooling. You apparently didn't think my song was all that good so let's call it even. You know what they say about opinions--- "Everybody has one '
