Sensuous Enemy Bio

Sensuous Enemy is a female fronted electronic band from the midwest comprised of JAI [vocalist/lyricist],John Freriks [programmer/guitarist], Bob Hensley [keyboards], and Katja Lunde [synthesizer].

SE blends driving drum sequences with hard techno and EBM synth lines, combines powerful velvety alto vocals with a subtle use of orchestral strings, piano, and vocal harmony, and live electric rhythm guitar and Vdrums in order to create a sublime visual stage presence.

Sensuous Enemy has played great shows with infamous electronic/rock/industrial groups like Rotersand, Covenant, I:Scintilla , Cruciform Injection, Iris, The Dark Clan, The Gothsicles, Imperative Reaction, Combichrist, Caustic, Bella Morte, Razed in Black, The Azoic, Assemblage 23, Android Lust, Iris, Stromkern, and many others!

They have also played at numerous Electronic Music Festivals like Reverence 2005 - 2008, Madison Electronic Music Festival,and Sound n Fury I and II in Wisconsin, WTII Showcases in Chicago, Elektrofest in Cleveland, OH and many more.

Sensuous Enemy recorded and released a 3P titled "Parity" in 2010, produced by Dan Clark (Milwaukee, WI) and recently released their single "Sirens of the Sea" and their 2nd full length album titled "Voyager" in November of 2013, recorded and produced by Dan Clark (Milwaukee, WI) and mastered by Eric Oehler (Submersible Studios-Madison, WI).

Previously, Sensuous Enemy completed their first full length CD "Fragments" in 2008, which was recorded and produced by Wade Alin of "The Atomica Project"/"Christ Analogue" (Chicago, IL).

In addition, their CD "Fragments" was also chosen as one of Madison's Top 10 Favorite CD's of 2008 by the Isthmus magazine.
