Though not an addict himself, addiction and depression ran rampant in his family. "I lost or almost lost five relatives because of there drinking and drugging", he says, "and it took a toll on everything I tried to do with my life".
He says his marriage turned his life around. "My wife lived with abuse all her life. I watched her overcome it in a very short amount of time. Together, we learned to live and love again".
