Andy Germak's songs feature intelligent lyrics set to roots-rock musical hooks reminiscent of Counting Crows, The Wallflowers, Elvis Costello, and Bruce Springsteen.

Regarding his 2000 self-released CD, Color Through the Smoke, Rolling Stone writes, "Tasteful strings and a first-rate melody set 'Fireworks Over Ithaca' apart from standard singer-songwriter fare."

Germak showcased at House Of Blues (Cambridge MA) during the 2001 NEMO Music Conference. In February 2002, he appeared at The Bottom Line (New York NY), part of the Smithsonian Folkways 20th Anniversary Fast Folk Concert.

In May 2002, "Spoonfed," was included on Vigil, a CD compiled by Suzanne Vega with proceeds benefiting families of 9/11 victims. In support of Vigil, Germak opened for Vega at the Library of Congress (Washington DC) in September 2002.

Germak currently maintains a steady tour schedule in the northeast performing both solo and with a full band. Tour updates are updated daily at www.andygermak.com.
