Dilla, Actress, Tadd Mullinix, Boards of Canada, Burial, Autechre and Aphex Twin, Alpharay's music is an amalgamation of dub, jazz, acid, electro, funk, and IDM, structured by musical and life experience. A skilled saxophonist, producer and performer, Alpharay utilizes experimental recording techniques, found sounds, synthesizers and live instrumental performance, engaging music of various currents from his lifetime.
