Alex DeMammos is blessed with an exceptional, 3 and 1/2 octave lyric baritone, but his remarkable voice is only part of his story. Educated with a Bachelor's degree in composition and vocal performance from Bard College, his current projects are a reflection of the breadth of his talent. From his work as a songwriter-for-hire, to the arch melodies of his electronica-tinged solo endeavor Love A.D., to his live band, the brass-knuckled rock juggernaut Cheaper Faster. Alex makes his mark by being unafraid to apply all his years of proper schooling to the reckless world of rock and roll. An accomplished player on piano, guitar, bass and more, he’s lead outfits ranging from jazz-influenced jam bands to melody-driven pop rock, and gigged steadily throughout the city and beyond, building a career modeled on the craftsmanship of his Renaissance musician heroes, from classical composers to Brill Building songsmiths.
