Shouldn't Be Said has been a long time in the making. Mostly recorded in my basement, I spent several years tracking and tweaking. It was the first time that I wrote, produced, recorded, and mixed an entire album by myself (with the help of my brother Matt). I also had lots of really gifted friends lend a hand, playing everything from Hammond B3 to bassoon. That's right, I said bassoon. I'm describing the sound as funky, roots rock. For every rock tune there is a mellow folksy tune.
