Reach For The Sky EP (2004)

Coinciding with Patrick's relocation to Austin, TX, Reach For The Sky is full of inspiration, courage, honesty and a bit of sarcasm to boot! A mixture of Pop Rock, Americana, and Alternative Rock, it's like listening to the radio - something new and different with each song. With the opening rocker "Red-Handed", Patrick immediately shows the listener his patented sarcastic and biting humor amidst pop laced guitar hooks and harmonies. On "A Thousand Lifetimes", a pop rock tune, he invites you a little closer into his world and into what he feels is a part of his being. Switching gears into Americana, the loneliness of the desert - and of the current political situations - is felt in "Nowhere, USA". "I May Be Gone" and "Breathe" follow, bringing the listener back into the pop-rock, guitar-riff laden sounds of Patrick's own production style. Rounding out RFTS, are two ballads, "One More Dance" which leaves the electric guitars behind in favor of strings and piano and "Default" which totally brings the listener into the intimate setting of acoustic guitar and vocal. With Reach For The Sky, Patrick truly shows he has the ability to fly!.
