Bio

Having been influenced by his uncle who was one of the youngest lead guitarists to grace the Jamaican music scene(and who started out on the road with reggae greats such as JimmyCliff, Tyonne Taylor etc., and was produced by Ska's greatest, Sir Coxson-Dodd) Neil first learned to play the drums, and did so throughout high school. But toward the end he would master the bass, which came in handy when he, his brother Paul, a drum'r and two other cousins, along with his uncle and his best friend Anthony Williams, a british-born son of Jamaican ancestry would form The Family Affair Band. They played for three years until members migrated to the states or to England. Having served in the US Navy, music had to be put on hold, but the calling was definitely there, and after years of on and off attention to his calling, he has now, after having written and arranged about two cd's worth of music, decided to, one way or another, make music his long-term career. As stated," If I have to work another 30 years before retiring, why shouldn't I do it at something I love and am happy with".
